Vehicle Detail
I bought this beautiful Porsche 930 3 years ago with 76300 miles on it from a gentleman in California. It was freshly painted in the spectacular House of Colors “Candy Brandywine” burgundy metallic you see in the pictures. This is the most striking paint color I have ever seen. The pictures just don’t do it justice. It is a 3 part process that starts with a gold base, and then a semi- transparent burgundy (candy Brandywine) color coat is laid over the gold. The clear coat is then applied over all of that. Aside from a couple of small chips that have been professionally touched up, the paint is in awesome shape. It always gets comments. All the rubber body and window seals are new. The slant nose conversion is expertly done with all steel Porsche parts. The headlights raise and lower perfectly. All body gaps are great. There is no sign of any body damage ever. The car is virtually RUST FREE! The sunroof works as it should. The interior has been redone with factory Porsche Cork color interior. The seats are Recaro sport seats in cork vinyl. The dash is done in cork leather and black. The dash face is done in reverse leather suede. (May not be for everyone, but can easily be returned to black.) I think it looks great. The rear package tray is redesigned to house a pair of 6x9 speakers firing forward when the rear seats are laid down. The passenger seat has a small hole worn in it as can be seen in one of the pictures. That is about the only flaw on the interior. The power windows work, the passenger side is a little slow. The AC hasn’t been completely reinstalled. There is a new compressor for it in the deal. There is a Blaupunkt cassette stereo in the dash. The engine runs great. I don’t have much history on it, but I did have a Leakdown test done on it about 1000 miles ago and it was great…. 3-5% across the board. The motor is basically stock! Stock turbo, stock intercooler, etc. It has factory heat exchangers and a Borla muffler. As you can see in the pictures, the engine is quite clean. The transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch put in 1200 miles before I got it, I have the receipts for that work. The brakes appear to be new. The wheels are 18” aftermarket BSA brand. I do not have the original wheels. The tires are 265/35/18 and 225/40/18 Z-rated Nexen with better than 80% left on them. I would not be afraid to hop in this car and drive it across the country and back right now. It runs great and it’s a blast to drive. I would probably take back roads as much as possible. Here is a link to a bunch more pictures of the car. http://www.studio1erie.com/930_1978.htm I am willing to help with transport of the car anywhere in the world. NO RESERVE…NO BUY IT NOW The high bid wins the car. I have the title in hand in my name and ready to transfer to the new owner.
