Vehicle Detail
I have a 1979 International Traveler, I bought this last year off ebay on a second chance offer due to non-paying bidder. It has the factory 348 V8 engine with factory automatic transmission. I'm not real sure which transfer case it has but it works great. The mechanic installed two door hings kits but the drivers door needs a little adjusting. With the new rubber and hinge kits the doors shut real tight and don't rattle. I have done the following to it. Door hinge kits ($35.00) New balljoints ($)425.00 Tires (35-12.50-15)($650.00) Brakes and two new calipers on front ($225.00) Universal joints Door and rear hatch seal($80.00) Tune up with new plugs All new fluids, oil, transmission and filter, differential ($125.00) He also checked and greased all wheel bearings, none needed replacing. All this done by cerified mechanic up the road. (I have the number if you would like to speak to him) It has factory power and tilt steering and factory air conditioning. I will supply a bill of sale to the buyer. but I do not have the title for it. The Scout drives good since I put the new balljoints on it and runs very good. The vehicle doesn not have any warranty I can drive it within a reasonable distance to meet you. It does have Dana 44 axles under it with lift springs on the front. As you can see the tires are like new. They are 35/15's You are welcome to come and drive it and test out the 4-wheel drive. The Scout tracks very good going down the road with the new balljoints and tires. ***The entire floor pan has been replaced and sprayed with bed liner. This was done by previous owner. **I will welcome serious buyers to come and drive it with me. ***The lights, windshield wipers, air conditioning and blower all work but the air conditioning isn't cooling a lot. I never tried to charge it. When he was changing the fluids for me I also had him flush the radiator. The Scout does have adjustable bucket seats with seat belts. The Scout does have a 3 inch body lift and either 4 or 6 inch lift springs, you can see how much it clears the 35's. I had all this work done so it would be a dependable ride, I wouldn't be afraid to drive it across or out of the state. **Again, I do not have the title for it, but I will provide a bill of sale.
