This is a wonderfuly restored car that will create more complements and conversations at stop lights than you may want. The TR6 has a clean, understated....yet super premium look going for it that will hopefully be an extension of your personality and good taste. The Exterior Condition. Wonderfully painted panels offering a soft, almost wet like finish. The gloss and shine qualities are excellent. The bright work, emblems and cosmetic accents have all been either re-finished or new at the time of the restoration. One of the fender British Leyland Logo inserts is broken on one of the corners,....not unsightly mind you,...just there and should be noticed. The result is a TR6 that looks reasonably as close to new with only minor flaws to be reported. The car sits square to the road and has excellent balance. Most all of the surfaces are polished to high quality standards and while no car is perfect,...there is simply nothing to report concerning the exterior that will keep this car from being considered overall, very very handsome. The Interior Condition. In step with the exterior and a fantastic place to be seen while motoring down the that winding road on your way to the Winerys. The interior cabin is home to a brilliantly finished walnut trimed dash and Nardi steering wheel. The seat covers have been changed to match the natural wood tones and looks wonderful. The seats sit very well due to the new foam at the time of re-cover including the headrests. The butterscotch colored carpeting is soft and well tailored too. The door panels are tight fitting and the cargo area carpets are clean. All of the gauges have a nice, clean finish to them as well and the sound system has been upgraded allowing for you to enjoy your favorite Dean Martin CD. What a wonderful "date" car. You and your guest will be the star of the roadways, top down, stereo up, shifting and drifting through the open air. Of all of the Triumphs', this is simply one the best I've seen. The Engine & Transmission Condition. An expertly tuned 2.5 ltr. 6 cylinder powers this TR6. She has enough power to pass but should not be considered as being "fast". The performance level is plenty for what these cars were designed to do. The dual carbs are dialed in to near perfection and she's a blast to drive. The transmission is smooth in it's operation and the clutch is easy on the foot allowing your better half to drive it easily should you have a bit too much to drink at the Winerys or that street side cafe`. The car runs and drives like it looks and is ready to impress mechanically. Again, this is an extremely rewarding car to drive. The handling and braking are superb, you'll love your time behind the wheel. The Final Word. I don't believe in "Perfect" cars, that said,...this TR6 will impress all who see it and it certainly will be appreciated by any and all Classic Car lovers, including those Italians and Germans:) From experience, I can tell you, each weekend I look forward to pulling my sports car out of the garage for an early morning drive only to bring it back to get it ready for it's "just before the sun goes down" drive. The seats sit very well due to the new foam at the time of re-cover including the headrests.
The butterscotch colored carpeting is soft and well tailored too.
The door panels are tight fitting and the cargo area carpets are clean.
All of the gauges have a nice, clean finish to them as well and the sound system has been upgraded allowing for you to enjoy your favorite Dean Martin CD.
What a wonderful "date" car. You and your guest will be the star of the roadways, top down, stereo up, shifting and drifting through the open air. Of all of the Triumphs', this is simply one the best I've seen.
The Engine & Transmission Condition.
An expertly tuned 2.5 ltr. 6 cylinder powers this TR6. She has enough power to pass but should not be considered as being "fast".
The performance level is plenty for what these cars were designed to do.
The dual carbs are dialed in to near perfection and she's a blast to drive.
The transmission is smooth in it's operation and the clutch is easy on the foot allowing your better half to drive it easily should you have a bit too much to drink at the Winerys or that street side cafe`.
The car runs and drives like it looks and is ready to impress mechanically. Again, this is an extremely rewarding car to drive. The handling and braking are superb, you'll love your time behind the wheel.
The Final Word.
I don't believe in "Perfect" cars, that said,...this TR6 will impress all who see it and it certainly will be appreciated by any and all Classic Car lovers, including those Italians and Germans:)
From experience, I can tell you, each weekend I look forward to pulling my sports car out of the garage for an early morning drive only to bring it back to get it ready for it's "just before the sun goes down" drive.
If your city is anything like St. Louis, that's when you see all the proud owners of classic cars get out on the streets. What a wonderful experience,...and this car will be among those top level cars on the road regardless of money or make.
