Vehicle Detail
Up for auction, is my 1981 Toyota 4x4. This truck is totally unmodified. The frame is perfect with no rust as it has been in South Carolina most of its life. There is slight rust on the driver's side body at the crease on the bed ( as seen in pictures). There is a tear in the bench seat on the drivers side from getting in and out. It was a daily driver until 6 months ago when it was replaced with an FJ cruiser. Now for the good stuff! This truck is in good enough condition to fully restore back to orginal if you wanted. The spare tire winch still works, the emergency brake still works, it even still has a gas pedal! ( I have owned 4 of these trucks and never had a real gas pedal until this one!). The bed has a spray in liner ( the real one not the roll on stuff) and an aluminum tool box. Even all the marker lights on the sides are still functional. The truck starts with ease and runs strong. The 4 wheel drive works great and shifts in an out with no problems. Locking hubs turn with no problems. My plans included lifting the truck and making a mean mudder out of it, but have moved out of state and have no place to work on it. Anyone that knows toyota 4x4s, knows this is one of the models to own because of the strong, reliable 22R motor and the straight front axle. The gearing has not been touched so you can cruise at 60 mph in 4th gear with ease. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me and I will respond before the end of the day. The truck is still located in South Carolina and it is a South Carolina title. Its a little dirty from sitting, but cleans up! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding
