This is the description of the car when I purchased it off ebay last year from Southern California. I have included the original photos and current photos. The car has been garaged in a heated garage in Colorado since I have owned it. It has been properly serviced and runs and drive properly. It is an absolute blast to drive and drives like a three year old instead of a forty year old. I received the car and it was just as described below with the exception that it does have a small,(silver dollar) sized area on the passenger side rocker panel that is showing some bubbles in the paint. Has not worsened since my purchase nor have I seen any other sign of rot or rust - which is extremely rare for one of these vehicles. If you want to have a unique classic that operates well enough to drive regularly or if you have been waiting for an AA that has not been abused, rotted or left to die, this is the one. I have not had any problem getting service in the small Colorado town where I live and although the car never was a powerhouse, she motors down the road without any drama, just enough fun to put a big smile on your face! This is a truly one of a kind fully restored Austin that is extremely stunning and definitely a collectors piece. This original California Black Plate vehicle is completely original and shows very well. With only 57745 miles, she is near perfect in all aspects This is the younger sister of the Austin Mini better known as the Mini Cooper. These vehicles were designed for North and South America only and were distributed from 1969 to 1971. The original owner purchased this vehicle right here in San Diego and kept her until 1998. He then sold this vehicle to the next owner who decided to fully restore her from front to back and top to bottom. Only two word describes the condition of this vehicle and that is EXCEPTIONALLY BEAUTIFUL. Take a look at the photos of the Exterior/Interior, everything is there and in 100% original condition. The engine compartment is true to the time of purchase and there is nothing lacking or misplaced. Mechanically, she is in excellent shape. When we acquired her, she had a fuel pump issue. We ordered the right part and had it installed. Now she fires up and runs perfectly fine every time. The transmission shifts properly and without any glitches what so ever. The drive train works and performs exactly like they should for the amount of miles on this Austin. Exterior wise, just take a look at the photos. This vehicle was fully restored in 2002 and currently is in great condition. All Chrome was either replaced or re-conditioned. Both bumpers were replaced and so was the grill. All side mouldings and trim were replace. The vehicle has the original rims and the spare wheel in the trunk has a brand new never used tire. The bottom of this Austin was undercoated for weather proofing, just take a look at the photo of the wheel where you will see the undercoating behind the wheel. Interior wise, this Austin is complete and in 100% original condition. There is one minor tear on the driver's seat and the dash has a small crack near the passenger side. Other wise, the interior of this Austin is really beautiful and it really shows. This vehicle is in great shape with a 7 year restoration, she is nearly perfect with very few minor flaws.
