Car has some body damage: scratches on roof from attempting to park in the garage with a bike still on the roof. Hit and run in the rear, missing rear bumper cover, and dent in trunk lid. Bottomed out on a dirt road and damaged the front radiator support and fron bumper, radiator has been replaced, rad support is still bent. The passenger side seat has come off the rails and doesn't want to go back on, have noticed there a small hole in the floor under where the seat was. Mechanical problems: There's a wear pad on the transmission linkage that worn down so the gear aren't lining up right simple fix easy to get to. EGR should be cleaned, sometimes causes the computer to see a difference in boost pressures it doesn't like and trips a fault, reset when you restart the car but the check engine light stays on. This has been a great car, very few problems, always fun to drive, just don't really have a need for it anymore, had been keeping it with plans to swap the engine into a toyota pick up, but not sure when that will happen and don't want to keep it sitting in the driveway. Jetta has a golf front end on it (headlights, grill hood), also has a MK2 steering wheel (NO AIRBAG), and dual gloves boxes (NO AIRBAG) AS SUCH, the buyer must understand that in order to make this vehicle inspectable the airbags will need to be replaced ans they where factory safety equipment. Car also has older VW Tear drops rims painted black on it I have several extra rims and VW parts that CAN be included, also a VAG-COM cable... I will include if bidding goes high enough.
