This car has just over 56,000 miles and I am the original adult owner. The car is a blast to drive due to it's light weight, high revving rotary engine (9,000 redline) and being rear wheel drive. These are the reasons the RX-8 was named to Car & Drivers 10 Best list 3 consecutive years. New tires were installed less than 5,000 miles ago so have plenty of tread remaining. Unlike other sports cars, the backseat in the RX-8 is actually accessible via the frontward opening rear doors. This is extremely handy when taking coworkers to lunch or transporting small children in car seats. All scheduled maintenance work has been performed by Roger Beasley Mazda and the engine was replaced under Mazda's factory warranty at 45,000 miles. The new engine is warrantied until March of 2014 or 100,000 miles. The car has been garaged all it's life and never left central Texas so no exposure to winter salt. Everything is in perfect working order and all scheduled services have been completed. All in all, it's a great car and I will miss it a lot.
