Vehicle Detail

For sale is a super rare 1949 Oldsmobile Woodie Wagon. This car has a super solild, 99% rust free Arizona body that needs all wood and total restoration. The sheet metal is really straight and solid except for roof which is pushed in (should pop out without much effort), passenger front door that appears to be peppered with a shot gun and stepped on, and the passenger front fender which appears have been cut with a power saw for some strange reason. These damaged pieces obviously came while the car was in the salvage yard as most of the car appears to have been pampered. The floors of the car are super solid with original paint in many areas. The rest of the floor has a really light layer of surface rust with the exception of a 6x8 inch place in the passenger front floor board where a box sat on and a 1x2 inch area on the passenger rear floor board where sediment sat. The rest of the floor is nice, nice. The known missing parts are the hood, passenger side vent window, and the tailgate (wood) and hardware. Those parts appear to have been the same as on my 1950 steel woody so parts are not impossible to find. The carb and radiator are also missing. The drive train is intact. The head is off of the engine which is likely the reason the car was off of the road. It has an automatic. Please bid confidently as this car is a solid car to restore. It needs all of the wood, but that is a cheap investment incomparison to the finished value of this car. There is no title or waranty with this car. The owner must arrange transportation, however I will assist in the loading. The wagon does roll.On Jun-03-10 at 18:20:56 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just purchased a passenger front and rear door for a '49 Chevy or Olds woodie. They appear to be identicle to mine. I have not seen them in person, but they appear to be real good doors with good wood. The winner of this auction can have the doors, but must pay to get them shipped from the Los Angelos area.On Jun-03-10 at 18:48:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added pictures of the new doors to the photo gallery.
