Let me stress that this is a RETAIL vehicle. This Mercedes has received a 24-Point inspection by a Sewell Certified Technician. We want to make sure that you know everything that we know about this car. *Exterior The Carfax shows that this car has never been involved in an accident. I have also checked for previous paint work and could not find any. The exterior is very nice, considering its age. I could not find any apparent door dings or blemishes other than the right corner of the front right bumper which is scuffed and scraped. I took a detailed picture of this to show the extent of the damage. The front end has its share of rock chips, but nothing extreme or major. Overall, the exterior is in good condition considering the age. Please look closely at all of my pictures as they show many details of the overall condition of the car. *Interior The interior is clean with no major stains or tears. The leather has held up very well with no cracking. The carpets are in also good condition. I could not detect any signs of a previous smoker in this car and there are no odd smells or odors. The interior trim and headliner are in good condition and are formed correctly without any drooping or tears. The interior is nearly spotless considering the age of this car. * Electrical/Mechanical This car has been inspected for safety by our Sewell certified technicians. I have driven the car and runs great. There are no odd noises and it does not emit any sort of smoke. It drives straight and feels to be aligned correctly. All of the interior electronics, including climate control, cruise control, the power tops, etc are functioning properly. The A/C blows nice and cold. The front tires measure 7/32..s (over 50%) and the rear tires measure 0/32..s (desperately need replacing). The front brake pads measure at 12mm as and the rear brake pads measure 3mm. The wheels do not seem to have any major curb rash. Inspection Notes: Our technicians discovered a few items that need to be serviced on this SL-Class. We found that the Valve Cover Gaskets and Cam Seals are leaking on the exhaust. We recommend replacing the rear brake pads and rotors. The Engine mounts are broken. The cigarette lighter is inoperable. Also, the Check Engine light turned on during the inspection. We suggest the 100,000 miles service be performed and it will address most of these serviceable items. I have taken all of these things into consideration when pricing this SL 500 at a low retail price. I have taken extra care to provide you with excellent detailed photographs. This really is a wonderful car and combined with the Mercedes reputation of solid built cars that last a lifetime, I am sure this car will find a new home and make its new owner very happy!
