LOOK! JEEP FANS, 1972 JEEP COMMANDO 304 V8 4X4 NO RESERVE AUCTION on this 1972 Jeep Commando 4x4. 304 V8 3 speed manual with single stick high/low transfer case. Power Steering. The good: This Jeep was purchased new in West Virginia by my friends dad. This jeep has always been well maintained and has 69000 original miles logged on it. The gas tank was punctured and pulled out and repaired and was never re-installed. The Jeep was traded around a circle of friends and now I have it and I want to see it go to a good home. I have several other Jeep's and I have little time to give to this one. Rather than see it sit any longer it is up on a NO RESERVE auction. I pulled the spark plugs, changed the engine oil and rotated the engine by hand several revolutions, reinstalled the plugs, rotated the engine several more times by hand and then let the starter turn it over. I poured a little gas in the carb and she fired right up. Lots of great Jeep parts here, engine, transmission, transfer case, front and rear drive axles etc. No broken glass and all four hub caps are here. A very minimum amount and time and money and she will be on the road. The bad: There is some body rust through as the Honey Suckles and Briars took over. The frame is solid and there is a brake line leaking under the vehicle, no doubt along the frame where the line could rust. The rust through can easily be cut out and repaired or you can cut it out and paint the frame behind it and make a super on/off road hunting vehicle or a crawler. DON'T LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!
