Nice straiaght rust free VW Diesel Rabbit Hatchback. Not running. Timing belt tensioner was not bolted on properly during maintenance (not by me but by a "professional mechanic") The engine spins freely with the starter with no unusual noises, , but sounds like it has no compression. I think it just bent the valves when the timing belt jumped off. The engine has not been opened up, but left sitting since the incident. It was running fine before, and was just taken into a shop for routine maintenance and replacing of some of the glow plugs. It shows no signs of ever overheating or of ever being in any accident. Body is straight and rust free, except for the hood which was rather badly dented when one the hood hinges broke??. Glass is all good except the right rear quarter window (broken). All doors and windows work properly. The only thing I know about the mileage is what the odometer shows (140,882). Bumpers, interior are all in good shape., although the dash has a few cracks (typical). Paint is faded, but original and the wheels and tires are all OK. This car has not been canabilized, but I can't speak to the condition of any of the parts. It does have A/C, and it's all hooked up. I had plans to fix it up as a daily driver, but changed my mind. I'm 73 years old and it just makes me tired to think of doing that. Guess I'm getting old. The car is currently registered in Ca. till Sept. this year. Car is equipped with mounts for towing behind another vehicle. Any questions, just ask.
