Up for bids is my Dad's 2000 Saturn LW Wagon. When purchased, he had a mechanical liftarm welded into the rear storage compartment, and bought a motorized scooter chair. At only 55,000 miles, the car is in great running condition and was recently serviced (March 2010) A California car, there are no rust issues and was previously garage kept. Currently it is parked outside on a private drive. Car's overall condition I would rate very good, but there are little nicks and scratches on the front bumper, rear bumper, and side doors, as most used vehicles have. All controls are fully functional: power windows, power door locks, cruise control, AM/FM/CD player, Power Driver's seat, steering auxilary controls and Air Conditioning blows cold. The interior seats are in very good condition, no rips or tears and the headliner is clean and in place. His Motor scooter is in fair condition, with battery pack rechargeable through standard house current. The handicap assist package was $2,500 when new. Lift is rated for over 200 lbs, but performs well with scooter. The only difference to full handicap access is that you must remove the seat cushion prior to storage in trunk. We rest the chairpiece in the back seat but it will fit inside trunk so that four adults can travel comfortably. This would be a great car for someone with limited mobility to operate independently. The car is quite roomy, and driving is a breeze. It's V6 power provides plenty of pep, yet gets good gas mileage (20 MPG city). Car is available for inspection by appointment during most daylight hours. Car is sold as is, where is, and shipping is Buyer's responsibility. We are 20 mins from Orange County Airport and seller will pickup Buyer with 36 hrs. notice. A deposit of $500 is required within 48 hrs of auction closing. We are also willing to assist with Buyer's Transfer representatives. We also may deliver vehicle for a modest fee. EBAY MOTORS has other Saturn auctions similarly priced having twice this mileage. When someone came to see the car, and I demonstrated the scooter it did not function properly. Having not used for 3 years, it drove from the garage to the car without hesitation. Electrical may be the problem, but the Headlight & Horn both work, and when I disconnected the battery pack and replugged it in, scooter moved forward and backward. I am disclosing a condition change for all buyers knowledge.
