Vehicle Detail

This auction is for a nice 1974 Triumph TR6 that has had much work done recently and is ready to drive and enjoy. The car is bieng sold well below book price (see NADA info below)so who ever is the last bidder wins the auction. I purchased this car from a gentleman who stated that he had owned the car for over 20 years and during that time the car was always garage kept. The previous owner stated that he had the engine rebuilt about 5000 miles ago (Crank turned, cylinders honed, all new bearings, new rings and carburetors rebuilt) and at that time he replaced the clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, new battery and installed a duel exhaust system as well. Also he had just installed a new complete carpet kit including the trunk (still looks new), recovered the seats and center dash console. I just had the car serviced and this is what I just had done: New points, condenser, rotor button, distributor cap, plugs, ignition wires, carburetors synched, air filters, oil change (car still has it's original Tecate oil filter system), fuel filter, radiator coolant, radiator cap, thermostat, front shocks, front brake pads, temp sensor, shift cover, Walnut Triumph logo shift knob, chrome gas filler cap & gasket, TR6 logo wheel center decals, hood release cable and a show quality spare tire cover board (see photo). The interior is very nice with crack free dash top, good door panels, carpeted Triumph logo protective floor mats and original working British Leyland AM / FM radio. The exterior is of driver quality but does look good overall. The car comes with a nice soft top and a rare hard top. The hard top was made by Custom Hard Tops of Long Beach CA 90807 and it's serial number is #13102. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground and does not have any of the dreaded "TR6 Squat". The outer rocker panels are rust and damage free. The underbody is in super condition and have 15 detail photo's I will send any and all how ask for them. The tires are matching Michelin XGT 205 / 70 R15's with plenty of tread life remaining. The car starts at the touch of the key and purrs like a kitten and I would have no issues driving this car long distances. The electrical system is good with the following items working: Tachometer, Speedometer, Amp gauge, wipers, head lights, front and rear turn signals, front and rear running lights, front and rear side maker lights, brake lights and radio. The mileage shows 71,628 but I can not verify that these are the true miles so the car is being sold as "mileage exempt". As you can see this car has being well taken care of and is ready for the summer. I have tried to be as complete as I can with the cars description but encourage all potential bidders / buyers to ask any and all questions prior to bidding as this auction is to sell the car not win the auction then decide if you want the car. I have plenty of extra photos of the car so just let know if you want them or if you want photos of a specific area just let me know and I'll get them right out to you. Remember I do have 15 detail photos of the underbody I can e-mail you as well. If you are an overseas bidder I can keep the car stored in doors for up to 30 days from auctions end. I do not imply or express and guarantees or warranties. The car is bieng sold well below book price as you can see from the NADA info below. Original MSRP: $4,695 Low Retail Average Retail High Retail Base Price $7,975 $13,250 $21,300 Options Factory Hardtop $775 $1,000 $1,500 TOTAL PRICE $8,750 $14,250 $22,800 On May-23-10 at 07:34:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I have also just put a new fuel pump and upper fuel line on the car last week. The fuel guage just stopped working ( I'll try to get that issue taken care of before the car is picked up) and the horn does not work at this time.
