Vehicle Detail
This is a beautifully maintained 1989 Mercedes-Benz. We are starting this at 1800 with no reserve. We have owned the car for three to four years, it was in excellent condition when we bought it and we have maintained that. Some additions to the above, passenger seat is also electric with both headrest electric, divers mirror controlled at window and passenger mirror electric on center consol. The sun roof is in perfect working condition. We put new 60000 mile tires on it at the 172000 mile mark, papers in glove box, so they have about half tred left on them. A new battery put in last oct. Brakes replaced last summer at a cost of 600 dollars, papers in glove box. The original Mercedes book is also in the glove box. The original tire repair kit is in the trunk, and the original first aid kit is in the back storage compartment. We have floor mats in place that are very close to the interior color, and the carpet underneath is in excellent condition. The original radio has been updated with a CD player/radio, tied in with the sound system. Comes with both the regular keys and the valet key. Here is what the car needs. Both front seats could use recovering, the plastic control knob for the passenger side head rest needs replaced, the hood needs realigned. My wife hit a deer with it last fall, insurance covered all repair work which was $3600. The grill, hood, passenger side front fender where all replaced and repainted, you would never know by looking at it that it was hit by a deer. She runs and drives perfectly down the road and a garage told me the hood just needs realigned on the passenger side for it to line up with the fender properly. I have just not had the time to do it. The plastic cover around the drivers side head light also needs replaced. By far the front seats recovered would make a major difference in the appearance of the car, with the drivers seat being the worst, mainly on the back edge next to the door. I would not think twice about taking a cross country trip in her as she is now. The only reason we are selling it is because my wife recently bought a mustang and this one sits in the garage now, six cars are just too many for two people, not to mention paying out the insurance on that many vehicles. This car defintly turns heads when going down the road. You will not be disappointed with it. The paint job is in beautiful condition for its age, and the repair shop did an excellent job of matching it on the repair work. You can not tell which parts are new. If you have any questions please feel free to email or call me on this car. This is for sell locally at $3500 so I reserve the right to end this auction early if the car sales. You are also welcome to come and view the car if you would like. Thanks Ray Phillips 314-809-5181
