Vehicle Detail

Just Look at This Beast .. What a Cruiser!! and when you Drive it, Burns Up the Road!! The 455 4 bbl has Loads of Torque! The transmission is Tight and doesn't leak. A/C works, 8-Track works, beach boys tape included.. All windows work as well as door locks. Take a good look at All Pictures. The following is a list of small blemishes. There is a small dent in right front fender, there is minimal bubbling under paint on left wheel opening, the factory paint is spiderwebing on right rear qtr. There was a poor repair on drivers door panel arm rest. The left Qtr glass weatherstrip needs replacing. The 3rd to last picture shows crack on drivers side of windshield, Low down on Glass. Does Not impede Vision. The Bozo I bought the car from 3 years ago put glass pack mufflers on, Does sound pretty kool but it's not factory. I have a set of OE engine pipes and OE mufflers you can purchase seperately if you want. This is Mostly an Original Car. Thats the Bad. There is NO Rust Under the Vinyl Top at Rear Glass. All Floor boards are strong and intact with No rust The trunk has no leaks or rust. There are No Signs that it has been painted anywhere. It Tracks Nice n Straight down the road at any speed. A Joy to Drive. No Squeaks or Rattles, Sounds Great, A Great Low Mileage Driver. I have a full array of repair reciepts documenting mileage and usual repairs ie; starter replacement, heater core, belts, transmission service, oil & filter changes, front & rear brakes, motor mounts. The Mileage is Accurate. Even have the protecto plate and thank you note from selling dealer. As you can see this car has some unique features. I've rarely seen a GV with the upgraded Brocade seating, It has the full set of gauges, They All Work. Climate Control works. And the GTO Steering Wheel??? Never seen this in a GV, I have seen these features in the 71 Brochure pictures of the car but never in real life. I have not yet gone hunting for the build sheet, If I get a chance I'll take a look for the "Serious" purchaser. I bought this car to add to my 71 collection. I also have a 71 Bonne Sedan, and a 71 GV convertible that will be sold next year, I'm not ready to part with it yet. I haven't done anything to this car except drive it on occasion and flush all the fluids, recently replaced Alternator. I need to start thinning collection so here she is. I've done my best to describe everything about this beauty. I have 2 other 71's so I know these cars very well. Please email any questions before bidding.. ************************************************* One little tidbit of info for you collectors looking for provenance. In the summer of 2008, I drove this car to the GM Dream Cruise in MI. A gentleman was eyeing this car and he inquired if I was the owner. He asked to see the protecto plate, He was the nephew of former Pontiac GM James McDonald. Jim Mcdonald had a sister married to a Peter Nelson, the uncle of the gentleman at the dream cruise, Can't remember his name.,, Jim only drove fully loaded black on black Pontiacs while he was GM at Pontiac from 69 thru 72. He distinctly remembers his Aunt, pictured in front of several 60 & 70's vintage Pontiacs, standing next to a Grandville just like mine. Of course there is no way to equate this car with the one his Aunt might have owned but, still an interesting fact, Margaret Nelson was a name familiar to this gentleman and tho there is nothing to substantiate this info, It was nice to think about on the way home from the dream cruise. The protecto-plate and thank you letter from dealer have Mrs MG Nelson on them. Car was originally sold and registered in Antioch Illinois. The nephew of Mcdonald mentioned that his Aunt lived in Antioch. On May-17-10 at 13:44:11 PDT, seller added the following information: ******** Car is advertised locally, I Reserve the right to end the auction at will. Thanx! **********
