are you looking for a nice, powerful driver for this summer? here is the ride for you, you can drive this impala how it is, or drive and restore at the same time, doesnt need much too be perfect, this is a sweet original 1962 impala, the only things that are not original is the paint color (red) original color was tuxedo black, and the engine, the engine is a 409, the number on the block is t0509qd which is decoded as t=towanda assembly plant 0509 may 9th build date qd= truck motor 1962-1965 engine. the car is in really nice shape for an unrestored car, the car was painted red about 10 years ago by the previous owner, it has a few nicks and chips in it, only really big concern is the driver side rear lower quarter panel, it has some body filler in it and you can see it bubbling, the interiorior is all original, it is in great condition for its age, no rips or tears anywhere, the only thing the interior needs is the kick panels, they are warped from time i guess and will need to be replaced, the exterior trim is very nice, front and rear bumper chrome is nice driver condition, the grill assembly chrome would look alot better if it was rechromed but is in nice driver condition. the engine is a 409 yes a 409 , it is not matching numbers but it is impressive looking and performing. it is all stock other than the edelbrock 4 barrel carburator, it has a 2 speed powerglide that shifts smoothly, the car runs and drives very nice, it has redline tires, the car has been sitting in storage for awhile, so im not sure if the tires need to be replace or not, but they have decent tread, i would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, it fires up on the first time with 3 pumps to the pedal everytime......great car, great power, plenty of room for up to 6 people, the floors and trunk are solid, spare and all equipment are there and included, i have a dual four barrel intake for the 409 ill throw in with the car if i get a good enough price, happy bidding, bid with confidence call me at 540 657 8056 or email me at samgraham@boostmobile.blackberry.com with any other questions the trim tag is as follows style # 621847 = 1962 impala sport coupe 8 cylinder body # 8a24775 serial # a 24475 trim# 874 = inter color red with vinyl/cloth paint #900 tuxedo black engine # t0509qd the odometer says 30934, the title says that the miles are "NOT ACTUAL" im not sure how many miles it has 130,934 maybe, this car is in good shape bid in confidence i will work with you on transport of this car if you are not local you have to arrange shipping though i have had alot of questions about the shape of the frame and body mounts, the frame is very solid, looks like the body has been off the car at some point, the front body mount bolts have been changed (u can see the chrome on the bolt still) the frame looks like it may have been painted also, this car is nice and needs very little work to be perfect, bid with confidence *********while the car was in the air i noticed something else, the car does not have its original rear it has been upgraded to a ford 9" just want to make sure everything is out there and is no surprises when you come to pick it up***********************************************
