Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this nice 1984 Corvette Coupe. This car is what I would describe as a survivor. It has less 66,000 actual miles. Everything is numbers matching including the engine, transmission and differential. The car runs good. The body is excellent. It show no signs of any repairs anywhere on the car. The paint is driver quality. It looks decent but has all the typical chips, light scratches and a few very small cracked places. The interior is also all original. It looks good original condition. The leather seats have the usual signs of wear accompanied with leather. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The carpet is original as well with slight fading but no holes or tears here either. The dash, door panels, and center console all look good. The stereo has been replaced with a pioneer stereo. The air conditioning is cold. The tires have about 40% to 50% tread left on them. The Corvette alloy wheels are original to the car. The car starts easily and drives good. There is a little bumping from the tires especially the first few miles because the car has been sitting all winter. The only items on the car that don't work properly is the radio antenna stays up, the cruise control doesn't work, the digital dash will occasionlly flicker a bit but usually only if the car has been sitting a few weeks. If you drive it every few days if works properly all the time. The car has a new alternator, new plugs, new oil change, new WV inspection, new fuel pump. The crossfire fuel injection system has been pretty well rebuilt. The intake manifold gasket is new, the throttle bodies injectors were sent off and drilled with new brass bushings installed and otherwise been overhauled. the O2 sensor, throttle position sensor and temperature sensor are new as well. There is a little of a dead spot when cold but once the thermostat opens this goes away. The wipers, lights, heater work just as they should. The flaws I mentioned are minor but I want to try to describe the car as fully as possible being it is 26 years old. The 1984 Corvette is the first C4 model and is becoming more sought after with each passing year. In 1984 it was heralded by Motor Trend magazine as the best handling car in the world. It was the beginning of the all aluminum and alloy suspension which is still pretty much the state of affairs today. I have operated a small used car lot part-time for the last 25 years in southern West Virginia. I reserve the right to end the auction early if the car sells locally. Pre sale inspections are welcome. Just email your phone number and we can set something up. Email me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
