Vehicle Detail
1999 BMW 528i station wagon exterior: green/ interior: tan leather VIN:WBADP6338XBV61466 4 doors 117508 miles AC/power windows, power seats. Seat warmers No reserve auction I bought this car in the year 2,000 from a BMW executive and drove it for around 8 years. It was always mechanically taken care of by one of Washington DCs top BMW mechanics. During this time it also had the transmission replaced. In 2008 I gave it to my 17 year old son and he has driven it since. There are some scratches in the paint and some very minor dents. The car has never been in an accident. The car is very sound mechanically with over $1200 just being spent for new front brakes and rotors and to fix a number of smaller problems with the car. A copy this invoice comes with the car. A major problem with the car right now is that the tailgate window and door are slightly open and shut tight. I would recommend fixing this but I was not ready to do the work or incur the expense. So the tailgate and tailgate window are not functioning. There is no rear windshield washer blade on the car. The overall condition of the leather interior is good with a slight tear in the seam on the drivers seat and some wear on the left rear door panel. The carpet in the front and the cargo bay is all very good., as is the headliner. All glass is good and all windows function properly. Power seats are working. Radio works and car has a 6 CD changer in the back that is not currently working but I think it is a fuse issue and not hard to fix. Cassette player is not working. Most computer functions work on the dash work except for the temperature reading and I am not sure why it does not. All gauges are working. Right front headlight is not working and I believe it is a loose wire (not a bulb). One wheel has a bent rim and this does cause some friction while driving so you should get a rim to replace this for a smoother ride. Tires are in decent condition. Overall this is a solid car and still drives well but it does need some care and attention. The car is located in Bethesda, MD and can be inspected and driven with an appointment. Cars of this same vintage have been selling for parts for as much as $8,000. Call Gary at 301 908 9450 with any questions. And good luck bidding!
