Up for auction is a 1979 pontiac trans am special edition (rpo Y84) It was recently rescued from a temperature controlled garage on a farm here in virginia, where it has been parked for approx 10 years. It was originally a black on black car, fisher t-tops, olds 403 automatic, with snowflake wheels. Changes to the car: red deluxe seats, carpet & door panels were added. they are in poor cosmetic condition a/c compressor was removed at some point. Known issues: Torque converter sound like it has a marble inside of it. transmission may need to be replaced. passenger lower 1/4 had an attempt at bodywork. Known plusses: Car is solid, less lower 1/4. The doors shut properly. Engine fires right up and runs well. It appears to be a good survivor and a great candidate for restoration.
