Bidding on a 1952 Chevy 2 Ton Truck. Truck has a bed with removeable sides, bed measures 14 feet long. The cab is a little rough, check the pictures and if you want more I can email you some. There is a rectangle hole in the dash where something is missing, maybe a radio...check the pictures. Needs a good cleaning, there was rat droppings in the cab, I cleaned some out but there is still some under the seat. The seat comes out and if you have a power washer that is the first thing I'd do. The battery sits under the floor board in the cab on the passenger side. I hooked a battery up to it today and it didnt everything but start. It kept turning but would never start. I can only imagine how old the gas is, so who knows...maybe that's the only reason. Driver's side window is cracked in a couple places. Horn works. Looks like the blinker mechanism on the sterring wheel is something someone added on, and some of the taillights looks new as well. Couldn't get lights to come up but maybe they are burnt out. The horn works and so does some sort of blower (heater/ac) in the cab, when I turned the key on you could hear the blower running, then found the switch to turn if off and it stopped. Underneath the bed of the truck you can see the original wood bed, at least what is left of it. The whole entire bed and the sides of the truck is new. Not sure when this was done, but they did a nice job. The sides are removeable. Looks like it's aluminum or thin sheet metal. The trash in the truck I will take out before you take the truck home. It looks like some work has been done to the back brakes and even the springs, but I'm not for sure. I don't know much about the truck or what it's worth, I just bought it and took a chance with the hopes of getting it running but I've come to the realization I don't have the time. I was told the truck ran fine up until two years ago when the previous owner no longer had use for it. He parked it, and has been sitting every since...that is what I was told, who knows if that's the truth. There is a license plate on the back of the truck that has the year 1998. I purchased the truck on 4/11/10. I have the title which is signed by the POA and the POA paperwork. I have not titled the truck in my name yet but will do so if need be. Ask questions about the title and I will try my best to answer, I don't know much about titling vehicles. I'm not in a hurry to get this out of my yard but earlier the better, let me know what you have in mind and we will see if it can work. I had it towed to my place and unhooked the drive shaft, the drive shaft is now connected again but I didn't tighten the bolts on real well. I did notice on the passenger side of the windshield there is a crack, looks like someone shot with a bb or something. I'll check again for rust holes but so far I haven't seen any. The fenders and metal parts of the body of the truck appear to be in good shape and I haven't seen any bondo repairs or anything like that. I'll check again for rust holes in the cab, more than likely there is going to be some that I missed since this truck is from the 50's...I'll let you know what I find, but as of now, I haven't seen any.
