Vehicle Detail

Ok here it is, the one you have been waiting on...I bought this cruiser about 10 yrs ago...The first thing I did was have the engine rebuilt, A professional machine shop did all the work...The head was cracked so I bought a new head. The engine was bored 30 over and all new internal parts installed....I was going to keep this cruiser for the rest of my life so I wanted it to be like new again. I then had the transmission, transfer case and both differentials rebuilt with all new parts. Then I went to work on the hubs and bearings, all new parts were installed. Then we went to work on the brakes....all new replaced...lockouts were rebuilt. Next I had new u-joints installed. So its got an all new drive line with 8 thousand miles on it since total rebuild. I have synthetic oil in everything from day one....that's right the engine, diff's, transmission and transfer case. I had the diff's and stuff checked with the last service and the fluid was clear and like new....This Cruiser starts perfect runs perfect and I would not be afraid to take it anywhere. I drive it all the time and it is an amazing vehicle. It has power steering, and ice cold air conditioning, The engine is an F 2 inline six, original equipment. It has a DUI electronic distributor, no points to worry about...it added power and efficiency. I had headers and an all new exhaust installed. The carburetor is a Weber...it really helped and added power. The engine runs smooth as silk, no issues. The clutch, pressure plate and throw out are all new along with the pilot bearing. The transmission is a four speed and shifts perfect, very smooth. The four wheel drive is perfect. The hubs are Warn lockouts. Then I bought a lift kit...Old Man Emu. The lift is a moderate 3” I think. I had that installed and what a difference it made....the lift made the cruiser level and it rides like new. The lift included all new springs, shackles and hardware....Lots of other things like master cyl, brake booster, water pump, alternator were installed. To many things to remember and list. The dash factory gauges work perfectly but after spending all that money on the engine and drive line I wanted a Manuel set of gauges also, so I could see the exact true reading, oil pressure, water temp and volts. So I had one installed. The oil pressure is steady at 55 to 60 lbs of pressure. The water temp is steady at 190 degrees, the voltage is at 13 to 14 volts. I also had a new radiator installed, just remembered that. Ok on to the body....I have a friend who owns a body shop. He committed to redoing the body. Let me first say that the body had little to no rust....I bought this cruiser out of Texas and the body was great.....He took everything apart and fixed (replaced) the small rust amount by welding in new metal. The whole interior was removed and re-painted inside and out with the factory red for 1980. He did a great job, although he kept it for over a year...I didn't complain because I knew he was taking a lot of time and doing it right. Also I put carpet in it. There are a couple small places today with a few chips and stuff like that. But it looks great and I am happy with it....I get compliments constantly from people every where I go....most people think it is a new vehicle ….then I tell them it is a 1980 and they are amazed. Now let me say I don't claim that this is a flawless rebuild like some on here claim...But it is a perfect running great ride and it looks super nice and I know who ever gets my cruiser will VERY HAPPY. I am a picky person when it comes to mechanical issues and I stay on top of all issues and fix whatever problem arises. I believe in preventive maintenance. There are no problems with this cruiser, it is as I have described. I have done my best to let you fine folks know everything about it and what I have done to it. If you have more questions I would be glad to answer all of them.....just send me an email. It also has a hydraulic winch which runs off the power steering pump.....it works great. I think you can see I have spent tons of money on this cruiser. I know it will find a good home and that you will appreciate all my hard work and money spent......I really don't know what its worth....that's why I put it at auction.....I plan to sell it to the high bidder. I think my reserve is VERY FAIR. So bid with confidence and know you are getting a nice Cruiser. Thank You for looking at my auction and reading the description. Good Luck bidding! On May-02-10 at 11:34:55 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE ADDED SOME MORE PICS THAT I TOOK TODAY 05/02/10 I WANTED TO GIVE MORE ANGLES SO YOU CAN SEE ITS STRAIGHT.
