Vehicle Detail
Ok, here goes, we got real close last time, so I'm re-listing with no reserve. If you're looking for a Limited Edition, 10th anniversary, CB750L, this is the one you want. I first saw it last fall at the Rice-O-Rama swap meet in North Brookfield, MA. The guy who owned it had 4 other bikes and was downsizing. He decided to only keep his Harley and his Bonneville. After I bought it, I replaced the rear tire, I cleaned and adjusted the carbs., put in new spark plugs, a new air filter, gave it a tune-up, adjusted everything, added fresh fluids and detailed it. The gas tank is very clean inside (not a speck of rust). The title is clear (state of MA). Bid with confidence. I've sold many bikes on eBay since 2002 and have 100% feedback. I've been buying, fixing and selling bikes for over 20 years and I ride them all. This one's done, so it's time for the next project. So many bikes, so little time. The bike is "like new". It is completely original except for the following items: Avon Roadrunner tires (the front has very little wear, the rear is brand new with the nubbies still on it), the battery, the petcock (with an in-line fuel filter added), the air filter (NOS from Bike Bandit) and the spark plugs. It is completely reliable and set-up correctly. It's ready for the riding season. Everything works as it should--no smoke, or funny noises. It will mark it's spot with a drop of oil. It appears to be coming from the front cam chain adjuster area. This may or may not go away with regular use but is not a problem. Compression is excellent and it uses very little oil. The original exhaust has a small repair on the upper rt.-side pipe. This repair is shown in one of the pictures. The the weld on this repair looks so good, I didn't see the need to replace the original pipe. The original tool kit is included. I don't have the original owners manual. I wouldn't hesitate riding this bike anywhere. Cosmetically, it's excellent as the pictures show. All the rubber is soft and pliable, the wiring is original and completely intact. In my opinion, only a fully restored non-rider, or an original bike that was hardly ridden would have better cosmetics. There are a few very minor scratches and nicks. I tried to photograph all of them: gray spots on the gas cap, a minor scratch on back of the rt. side upper pipe (this might be too small to see in the pictures), the stator cover has a scratch on it, there's a small, tight crack on the top side of the tail-light lens that's about an inch long but it's water tight. If there is a bid on this bike, I will allow the auction to run to the end and it will sell. However, prior to a bid being placed, I reserve the right to end the auction early, as the bike is being advertised locally too. This bike is being sold as it is where it is. No warranty is expressed or implied. Please ask all questions before bidding. My name is Chris. You can contact me through eBay questions or call my cell @ (347) 738-1744 (preferably in the evenings 5PM - 10PM EST). The buyer is responsible for the shipping. I've had good results using Keyboard Motorcycle Shippers. The bike must be paid in full (with the funds cleared and in my bank) before I will allow it to be picked up. Cash or PayPal work best. I will accept a certified bank check but this will delay shipping arrangements until the funds have absolutely cleared. No other forms of payment will be accepted. I'm sure the new owner will be very happy. This is a great bike and priced well below what comparable CB750L's have sold for on eBay this spring. Thanks for looking and good luck.
