Location: Los Angeles, Ca USA 1957 Cadillac series 62 2 door Hard Top Coupe De Ville! Original paint! Hello folks. It is with great hesitation, that I list for sale this rare gem that I came across. She's a 1957 caddy coupe de ville series 62, 2 door hardtop. Its an original California car, with no rust, not an ounce of bondo, original paint, basically original everything!! Its 99.9% there. I think the only thing missing is the front fender scripts. The power seats and windows work, and the original interior is all there. All the hard to find mouldings etc are all there, but there are a few rips just from age and use. It had all 4 original hubcaps in really pristine condition, and the tread on the tires is actually good. There was a dent on the passenger side quarter panel that we were able to pop out for the most part. You'd have the get the trim straightened or find another one. There's really no other body work to be done except some tiny pings here and there, and it is a really prime candidate for a NICE paint job and resto, or just leave it as it! Chrome is all there with only light surface rust (just noticed front bumper had a rust hole, but its not that noticable and could be fixed). There's a crack in the driver's side door window glass, but other than that, all the glass is really nice. It was last registered and on the road in 1986, and it sat in a garage since then. It has the original 365 engine, but its stuck for now. I think what happened is the old man blew a head gasket and let it sit. We've been pouring tranny fluid in the cylinders to let it soak in and get it free. I might have a lead on a rebuilt '57 engine just a few miles away from here for those interested. I just got the registration up to date last week, and Im waiting for the new title to be mailed to me. I am basically the second owner. It belonged to an old guy that worked at the port here in LA, then his nephew had it for a while until it stopped running. It was basically in the same family until I got it. I had been trying to get this car for 2 years, before I finally talked them into it. This car is a real time-warp. This would be a fun and easy father-son summer project, just needs to be gone through and given a once over. Come see it if you'd like, you won't be dissapointed!
