Vehicle Detail
Hello, You are looking at a 78 True King Cobra. These vehicles were a one year option and getting very rare. The car has A/C, the clutch engages but does not blow cold, I was told it did when I bought it. As you can see from the pictures the car does has some rust. I was told it is exactly where it needs to be, well not quite accurate. I was never told of the gas filler neck that has rust, but a patch panel was included and is in the car. I was told the rust holes were the size of a quarter, one is at least. The car does have a new exhaust, and dumps in front of the rear tires, sounds really good. As you can tell it has wheel adapters and 15" Shelby wheels, looks great on the car, and not cheap. The interior needs total restoration, but all parts are mostly there as far as I can tell, and I have some spare parts to go with it. As bad as the interior is, the dash is not cracked, go figure. The car runs and drives very good. I just flushed the radiator and put a brand new remanufactured 2 BBL card on it. The previous owner painted the car in flat black, looks kind of mean. I was just under the car today, looks like the water pump is starting to leak, I have a good high flow aluminum one that will go with the car. Just put new plugs in it. I was also told that the transmission is a fresh rebuild, but I can not confirm that. I bought this car a year ago with hopes to restore it, but time constraints and a loss of my job has forced me to sell this Gem in the rough. The car looks very straight, except for the rust obviously. If you can weld patch pieces you can have a great car that will only go up in value. The previous owner put the pop open gas cap on it with hopes to use that, but the old filler is included with the car.As you can see from the pics, the floor pans look solid with no issues. The shifter will not go into park, but I bought a new one and will come with the car. The mileage says exempt on the title, I assume it is 190,000 miles. I was just looking at the pics, the spotting in the pictures is just water, I just pulled it in the garage out of the rain. It aqppears to be the thermostat housing that is leaking, not the water pump as previously described, but I will still throw min the high flow aluminum pump.On May-03-10 at 05:06:32 PDT, seller added the following information: I had a couple of requests to see if the car has the King Cobra Buck Tag on tbe radiator core support, it does and I took pictures of it. If you waqnt a picture of the Buck Tag, send me an Email and I'll attach the picture.
