You are bidding on a 1941 Cadillac Fleetwood 60 Special 5-Passenger Touring Sedan - it is two-tone blue with light blue from the belt moulding and above on the bottom half and dark blue on the bottom half. Per the invoice the original two-tone paint on the body was Rivermist Gray and Dusty Gray. The wheels are Vincennes Red. The cloth interior is Blue Gray Cord. The original engine runs well. This car features the Hydramatic Automatic Transmission. She has been a member of the Cadillac-LaSalle Club and is eligible for membership in the Classic Car Club of America, as she is on their approved classic car list. She has the beautiful Silver Goddess mascot on the hood. I have also photographed the concealed gas filler, it is under the driver side rear tail light. She has over 90,760 miles on it. As this is only a five digit odometer, I do not know if the odometer has rolled over or not. I inherited this Cadillac several years ago. I believe that my grandfather purchased it at a collector car auction in the late 1980s. It appears that it may have been an older restoration. The 1941 Cadillac Data Book states that there are 42.5 inches of legroom in the new Cadillac rear compartments-more than ample for tall persons. Even a top hat is permitted by the 36 inches of headroom. The rear seat has a hip width of 51 inches, and even more important from a comfort standpoint, a shoulder width of 57 inches. She has a 126-inch wheel base, 150 horsepower - 8 cylinders, 216-inches overall length. According to the General Motors Heritage Center - Cadillac Archives, Engine number 6343788 arrived in Massachusetts in May 1941. In 2009 the following was completed by Honest John’s Caddy Corner in Justin, Texas: All new Firestone (raised lettering) - 700.15 White Wall tires (including full-size spare in trunk.) New 6-volt battery Brake master cylinder was rebuilt, replaced front and rear hoses, new brake shoes, drums cleaned and turned Carburetor was rebuilt Distributor was rebuilt Fuel Pump was rebuilt New spark plugs/wire set Installed electric fuel pump and dash switch Repaired and flushed fuel tank, installed new fittings, lines, and filters Fuel tank sending unit, fittings, and fuel line and hose Cleaned and re-oiled air filter In 2010 the bumpers were re-chromed. Below is full disclosure of all known defects or issues that I am aware of at this time. This car is being sold “as-is”, so please be aware that the items listed here may or may not be fixable by you in the future. These are the items that I am aware of not currently working: Heater, spotlight, radio, windshield wipers, and clock. I have not attempted to troubleshoot any of them. The original vacuum-assisted antenna has been removed and a different installed. There is a scrape on the back passenger side fender (pictured) and various paint blemishes (see pictures). I have also included a picture of the robe cord behind the front seat, it has started to come loose on one side. In the back seat each passenger has a covered smoking case, the one on the driver side has a tear in the cover making it difficult to slide back.
