Vehicle Detail
Wow! What a Jag! The ideal mix of Classic, Timeless Design, with Modern, Dependable Power! This beautiful green on tan convertible has had a lot of time, effort, & money spent, to remove the unreliable old heavy motor, and add a very powerful high-performance American V8! Also has a 4-speed automatic transmission with Overdrive, instead of the old 3-speed automatic. This allows for a number of benefits over the old equipment. It is MUCH faster from Zero to 60, yet cruises effortlessly and revs less on the freeway, it gets better gas mileage, it runs much cooler in hot weather, is MUCH easier to keep tuned properly, and is extremely inexpensive to maintain! Also has a custom-built jump seat in the rear for kids or smaller folks, just like 2+2 Coupe's rear seat, matching interior. Altogether, that makes this one VERY rare & unique XKE convertible! This gorgeous car turns heads everywhere it goes, gets countless smiles and endless compliments from every age group, and is truly a pleasure to own and a joy to drive. The only things I know of that it needs are rear shocks, and maybe a new radio (not sure if it's just a fuse). AC was just recharged, and blows nice & cold! Car will be advertised in multiple ways, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells for the price I am asking. You may email to BuyerInfo1@gmail.com if you would like more photos, have any questions, or would like to make an appointment to see & drive the car in Los Angeles, California. VIN is UE1S23373, and CA Lic Fees are paid forward well into 2011. The previous owner had passed away, and therefore I unfortunately don't know everything about the car or it's past. Engine appears to be a Chevy 5.7L, with some special performance tweaks. Overdrive trans appears to be a GM700R-4. Don't know how many miles since install for either one. It has modern electronic ignition instead of a distributor cap & rotor. It also has a shiny new high performance 'Wilwood' brake master cylinder, which makes for excellent power brakes. Nice & light power steering too. All the 4 matching center gauges are new, for Fuel, Engine Temp, Volts, & Oil Pressure. Also has the 5th wire wheel in the trunk as spare, with the priceless spinner knock-off tool. Top is in excellent shape, as are the seats & carpets. Glass is nice, and most of the chrome is nice too. I'm 99% sure all the lights are working. Just realize it's not a perfect show car, I'm not portraying it as a perfect show car, and there's probably little things that you could make better if you want to, at your own pace. But for under 40K, it's the most timeless Jag convertible design, with dependable modern power, and it'll blow the doors off most anything you'd care to race! Thanks for your interest, and good luck bidding!
