First I want to start by saying this car has been great. I’ve owned it for about 7 years and have never had any serious problem with the car until now. The car runs and drives but when the car gets warm as you are driving the transmission goes into what’s called “limp mode” and you can hear a whining noise. You have to shut the car off and start it, to reset it. This happened about a month ago. I’ve weighed my options and an independent mechanic explained that the problem is one of three things, 1) low on fluid or a clogged filter (checked the fluid I don’t think this is the problem) 2) Electrics Kit which is a electrical plate located above the valve body or 3) the front pump on the transmission. At this moment I don’t know what the problem is; but after my wife saw the new 2010 E class, she has told me that she wants it so basically I’m going to use the proceeds for a down payment on a new E class. The minor problems are various rock chips to the windshield and paint (car was driven about 70 miles a day), typical wear and tear. Digital display as you can see in the pics, some of the pixels are out. The interior needs a good detailing, I have a seven year old and my wife allowed him to eat and drink in the back seat (need I say more.) Also the cup holder has been removed. Tires are practically brand new, a/c still blows cold. Car still gets a lot of looks. Also if you want the car, bid because I will not be making any kind of side deals or anything. If it does not work out with the highest bidder I will probably just trade it in the way it is. In other words I will not relist the car. Please keep in mind that the car will need to be towed.
