Vehicle Detail

Here is a rare find: 1975 Ford F-250 Highboy that was parked in a barn for the last 20 years! I had huge plans for this truck, but unfortunately, my plans have changed, thanks to an $8,000 boiler that we had to replace in our home, and now I need to sell the truck to help pay for the boiler. Here’s what it is: 1975 F-250, very RARE FACTORY HIGHBOY 390 Hi Performance motor (details to follow) Automatic Transmission WARN lockouts Dana 60 Axle Divorced Transfer Case 18” Wheels/Tires Power Brakes Bedliner Tool Box Sliding Rear Window BODY: The truck is rust free except for 4 spots: rear right corner, inside hood, passenger floor, and surface rust behind the rain gutter on the passenger side (all are photographed). The front bumper also has rust, but that’s a real easy replacement. Originally the truck was a burnt orange color; when it was repainted, they did a professional job by also painting the door jams, dash and anything else that showed orange. The paint job looks good, except for the clearcoat is peeling off the hood. Definately sharp enough to drive as is. It has a 1979 front clip. The rims and tires alone cost nearly $2k new (they only have 800 miles on them). They are Goodyear Wrangler tires 275 65 18 with Incubus Recoil Type 518 Off Road wheels. Also included are the set of original 2 piece steel wheels & tires. INTERIOR: The dash pad and steel is in great shape. The seat is in need of replacement. Aftermarket gauges. Headliner and door panels are in good shape. No carpet. MECHANICAL: As mentioned, this truck has been sitting inside for the last 20 years. The motor was rebuilt and installed in 1990, not much before it was put in storage; it is basically new as far as mileage. It runs incredibly strong, and it is believed to be pushing nearly 500 hp! Rebuilding a similar motor today would run over of $3,000. I have the receipts showing all the work the truck has had done. MOTOR: 390 professionally rebuilt by RPM in Jenison, MI Bored & Honed at .030 over Reconditioned Rods Crank ground and polished at .010 over Completely balanced Ported Heads Valve Grind & Competition Double Spring New .030 Pistons New bearings throughout Duration 268 Competition Cam Edelbrock Performer Aluminum Intake Holley 4bbl carb High Volume Oil Pump Moly Rings New Lifters Blackjack Headers Mallory Ignition Coil (currently utilizing points & condensor) Full Double Roller Timing Chain New Radiator OTHER MECHANICAL: New U-Joints Rebuilt Rear Drive Shaft New Chain in Transfer Case Rebuilt Transmission with new Torque Converter - freshly flushed. Autometer Gauges Holly Fuel Pump New Steering Tie Rod Dual Fuel Tanks (rear has been removed) I do require a $500 deposit within 3 business days of auction end. Deposit can be via paypal, but not the entire purchase, unless you want to pay the fees. Please ask questions. Also check my feedback – I do not misrepresent what I sell. If you have questions, please ask - I will answer honestly. One last thought: Fully restored, this truck could bring well over $10k. And with all that's already done, it wouldn't take much to bring it there. If I did not have the boiler go out in my home, that's what I would be doing. My loss, your gain! Thanks for looking, and best of luck on winning this rare and highly sought after Highboy!
