You are bidding on a 1981 300SD with only 88265 miles and clear title. When I purchased this car, it had been sitting for a number of years and I since completed the following work: I installed entirely new exhaust. The previous owner ran over a piece of steel and poked a hole in the frame, so I had it welded. It will pass inspection. It could only be welded since the frame was not rusted. All new glow plugs installed so it starts right up when cold. KLN filter installed, with the original equipment in the trunk. The electric switches had been removed, cleaned, and replaced so that all of the windows and seats work (the one passenger door switch needs a button part). The upholstery looks good, but I think the foam is a little tired from age. All of the lights work. There are two thumb nail size rust spots, but a very good body otherwise. The vacuum brake booster feels weak to me, but it stops the car. The radio is missing. The turbo works fine and really kicks in when the engine reaches mid RPM. I think the transmission shifts lazily when cold, but I attribute that to all of the sitting around. It appears to shift much better as it is run and warmed up. All filters and engine oil have been changed. This is a very attractive and solid 29-year old car. Please feel free to examine prior to bidding.
