1969 SS 396 Elcamino California truck: complete frame off rotisserie restoration, everything restored, rebuilt or new. The original motor, trans and rear end are long gone but now it has a 1972 CTB code 396/402 with high dome pistons, high lift hydraulic cam, custom ported and polished late 70’s 454 oval port heads, Edelbrock intake and carb. HEI ignition. 450 + HP. 400 turbo trans with a 2300 stall converter and a deep aluminum pan. Both motor and trans are freshly rebuilt with under 100 miles on them and run perfectly. Power steering, power disc brakes, column-shift w/tilt wheel. Heater has been removed and firewall shaved. Quarters and bed floor have been replaced, all other sheet metal is original and 100% rust free. The frame is so clean you can read the part number on it. Interior is beautiful: New carpet, headliner, and door panels. Bench seat with center fold armrest in near perfect condition. Dash pad is original a little distortion but not cracked. All weather-stripping new. Glass is all original. Shocks, brakes, dual exhaust and gas tank all new. All body mounts with stainless bolts new: too much to list. Doors, hood and tailgate open and close like new. Complete new wiring harness front to back. Most of the chrome and emblems are original and were cleaned and buffed. Very nice but not perfect. 15” rally wheels with derby caps, 7’s in the front; 8’s in the back. The metallic bronze paint is in very good condition with a few minor imperfections. Radio and heater delete. I have a set of original inner fenderwells that go with the sale [they need cleaned and painted] The truck runs and drives very well. There are 52000+ miles showing on the speedo and think it’s correct but can’t document it. Very low reserve Please come and look before bidding. The truck is sold “as-is”. Buyer pays shipping.
