Hello and Greetings to all. This is a 1974 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible that is a California car and has a newly rebuilt 1600 cc dual port engine , rebuilt carburetor , new clutch , pressure plate,throw out barring and transmission has been gone through and works as it should. This has also all new brakes and brake lines all the way around with a new convertible top,headliner, padding ,bow,rubbers and all new tensioning cords . The car has brand new tires on the front and good tires on the back.The interior is original other then new door panels and in good condition (see pictures) . I am going to make this ad very short and to the point. You are not buying a new car , a show car , a show and shine car but simply a daily driver with imperfections as you would find on a used 40 year old vehicle see pictures and video. I see no dents and no rust but this is aged paint and the floor pans are perfect as well as all chassis , heater channels , under the wheel wells and shock towers. This is a California car and does not have the rot you see on cars out east. Everything works as it should which includes lights,turn signals and is ready to be driven as a daily driver. Please no crazy expectations and do not assume anything when in doubt ask questions or simply please don't bid. The car is perfectly fine as a daily driver but anything more it would need a repaint. Again no dents or dings as to be expected on a 40 year old vehicle. I know of no damage and no history as I bought this car to sell it. You may check out my feedback and I sell beetles for a living so I know what this is worth and it is being sold with a NO RESEVE which means if it goes for $200.00 or $20,000.00 it is sold to the highest bidder, no regrets no complaints. I only want positive feedback and a satified customer. Terms : deposit of $550.00 by paypal is due immediately after auctions end or when my business partner back east is able to send over the invoice and is non refundable as I don't see any portion of this money as he handles ebay end of things.Also this car comes with Clear California open title . These terms are the same terms as I have used on all other sales with good feedback so if you do not agree with any terms simply do not bid. I can easily sell the car in the newspaper but am giving everyone a chance to own a California beetle. If you are new I will help you all the way through but my terms must be followed to the letter. After deposit full payment must be made by either cash in person, bank certified check over nighted or bank wire transfer no later then 3 days or 72 hours from auctions end. The car is located in Paso Robles on the central coast of California 93446 and will need either picked up here or transported at buyers expense only. Also insurance needs to be placed on vehicle once payments have been made and the title sent. Once payment has cleared this car is yours even while waiting for a transporter or sitting in my driveway , it is your responsibility for insurance. I will not be held liable for buyer negligence in purchasing proper insurance. Hagerty Insurance will insure these classics with a good picture and vin for very little but again at buyers expense. Also this is a as is sale and all sales are final. If any mechanical break downs happens prior to car being picked up or transported we will make any and all repairs if needed. I only state this as there is always that unforeseen dead battery , flat tire or whatever else and I will not just leave you hanging but once the car has been taken possession by transporter or by person there is no warranty guarantees expressed or implied. I will bend over backwards to make this an easy transaction for the both of us and shipping oversea's I can help with that . If for any reason you can't meet the terms please contact me prior to bidding or simply don't bid.You can come in person or have have an independent inspection done prior to bidding or winning auction and last but not least when in doubt ask as many questions as possible. Thank youOn Apr-22-10 at 14:21:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello, I just added some pictures of the top but due to the weather and just coming out of the box it will need a little time for all the wrinkles to come out.I have noticed the window bow which holds the headliner and convertible top in place is in to poor condition to use . I will be ordering a new one . I just want everyone to know what is going on.Frame and all the bows are and will be in great condition with a new seal .There is close to $1,500.00 in just the complete top including installion Ebay is not allowing me to add anymore video and I am sorry for that.
