I have a 1979 Mercedes G wagon Cabrio. The actual VIN number is 46021017000727. These trucks are very rare and are a blast to drive. This truck get attention anywhere it goes. This truck has the original 4 cyl engine, with a 4 speed manual. The transmission shift smooth with not issues. The engine runs strong and does not burn oil. The interior is original and is great shape for the year. This comes with the front and rear lockers (both work), and has the lower 5.30 gear ratio in the axles. The spring, shocks were replaced with newer G500 springs giving it about a 2" lift. The front suspension has been updated to a 3 link system that gives it great articulation and the camber can be adjsuted based on the height of the truck making it handle well on the road too. It also has the new style 18" rims. It has a custom rear bumper with a receiver hitch and a warn bumber up front (made for a Jeep) List of the Good: New panels installed all along the back, new paint, carpet, new tail light updated to the newer style, new marker lights, blower fan and switch, battery, brakes (including lines, drums, rotors, pads, cylnders), locker actuators, floor pans, hoses, thermostat, the radiator has been rebuilt, new carb converted to a Weber set up, new fluids through out. The fuel pump was rebuilt. I have the original air cleaner and carb. List of the Bad: I do not have a title for the vehicle. I have gone through all of the steps to get the title but for some reason Denver assigned the Colorado VIN number a VIN that is for a trailor when I applied for the title. I have all of the paper work to get the title again but I did not want to wait another 6 weeks to get the title just to sell the truck. I will include all of the paper work (VIN verifications from state patrol, VIN back ground search, notarized bill of sale, and all of the other required paper work). I will also take $150 of the final price because of the lack of title. The paint was done by MAACO so it is not perfect. The rear tailgate has some rust at the bottom (it was cut out, sealed and a diomand plate installed). There are a few minor tears in the seats. The soft top is in great shape except for the rear window zippers are out. The speedometer cable needs to be replaced, the pan hard arm bushing is bad (I have the part, just have not had it pressed in). I am sure that I forgetting a few things but I think that this pretty much describes what you are looking at.
