Vehicle Detail
This is 1994 Mercedes E320 Wagon. This was my wife’s primary car, but we bought her a new VW van and so we don’t need this car any longer. In the last year and a half, we have done a lot of work to the car and have way more in it than what we can sell it for. Some of the things we’ve done are: new tires (with alignment), new head gasket, new engine wiring harness, rebuilt throttle actuator, new battery, and other odds and ends like sensors, hoses, and belts. All of the work was done by a Mercedes Certified Tech. If you’ve done the research on these cars, you’ll see that the head gasket and engine harness are prone to go. The car has 178k miles. It has leather interior (not MB tex). It has a power sunroof, heated seats (driver’s is the memory seat), telescopic steering column, and traction control. This car has the third rear facing seat. It has some dents and dings on the outside of the car—but I cannot find any rust. There is some paint pealing beneath the driver’s door and a spot at the top of the windshield where some branches fell on it in an ice storm. The radio barely works and the heater fan makes noise some times. I occasionally put a can of Freon in it; it takes the newer kind that you can buy at the auto parts store. The rear leveling system appears to be working fine. There is a ‘whine’ that can be heard at times when driving the car. It stops when you go around a right hand curve. I’ve pulled both of the driver’s side tires and looked for anything obvious—but didn’t see anything. The back brake may be dragging some on the rotor. It’s the only thing with my limited experience that I could see that made any noise. The only service records I have are from the work that I’ve had done. The previous owner told me that he had a whole stack of records, but he couldn’t find them in his basement. I wish now that I had pressed him on the issue. All in all this is a decent car. Its not perfect, and there are probably nicer ones here on ebay. But if you’re not looking for something in ‘A+’shape then this may be one to consider. Please look at all the pictures and view the video of it that I have on Youtube. The video link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jV-x3Fx5S6g Thanks for looking. I’ve tried to be as honest about this as I can be. Please message me with any questions.
