2006 GMC Sierra 3500 SLE 4x4 Extended Cab Diesel Dually
This is a really nice extended cab ton series DRW truck with the LLY Duramax diesel engine and Allison automatic transmission. It is nicely equipped with an AM/FM/CD stereo, dual zone automatic climate control, extendable towing mirrors with turn signal indicator, power windows and locks, trip computer with steering wheel controls, Onstar, locking rear differential, skid plates, towing package with a brand new B&W Hide Away gooseneck hitch, sprayed in bedliner, and tube steps. This is a very nice and well maintained truck that is ready to drive anywhere.
History
This truck was manufactured in August of 2005. It was first registered in North Carolina in September of 2005. A good customer of mine, bought this truck from the orginal owner in January of 2009 with about 62,000 miles on it. He recently traded this truck on another 2006 Duramax with single rear wheels. This truck has been very well maintained by both owners. It has never been used for heavy towing. As a matter of fact, the gooseneck hitch was just recently installed and has only been used twice. This truck has a clear title history with no problems whatsoever.
Mechanical
This Sierra 3500 is in great shape mechanically. It runs and drives just like it should. All the fluids and filters have been changed regularly. Everything works properly. The engine runs smooth and very strong. The transmission shifts smooth with no slipping or hesitation. The four wheel drive works properly. This truck has 6 brand new Cooper tires. The brake pads are very good on the front and the rear and stop this truck firmly without pulling or vibration. The air conditioning blows cold. There are no fluid leaks or warning lights illuminated. This truck has been serviced and Virginia State inspected by an independent mechanic. This truck does have an aftermarket exhaust system and an Edge Juice programmer with an Attitude monitor mounted in the overhead console. The exhaust and programmer were installed less than a year ago and can be removed and returned to stock if you want. This truck has not been used for heavy towing or driven hard. The programmer and exhaust were installed primarily for fuel mileage gains. This truck is ready to be driven anywhere with confidence.
Exterior
The exterior of this truck is smooth and shiny as you can see from the pictures. Overall this truck looks very good, but there are some minor cosmetic blemishes as you might expect on a truck of this age. There are a some minor surface chips and scratches on the dually flares as well as some small dings in the rear bumper(see pictures). The tailgate also has a ding(see picture). The front bumper cover has some scuffs on the drivers side corner and some dings on the passenger side corner(see pictures). The paint on the tube steps is peeling and chipped in a few spots. All in all it is just normal wear and tear, but the truck actually looks very nice overall. I would rate the exterior an 8 out of 10.
Interior
The interior of this GMC Sierra is really nice too. The seats and floor covering are clean and free of major stains. This truck does have the carpet delete option which means that it comes with an easy to clean vinyl floor. This vehicle has no offensive or unusual odors. There is no smoke odor. Everything works like it should. This truck has an underseat storage container in the back. It comes with two keys and one remote. The owners manual are present. I would rate the interior a 9 out of 10.
This vehicle is Virginia State Inspected and Carfax certified. The engine is still covered under the factory engine warranty to 100,000 miles.
