For sale; this is a 1979 Triumph Bonneville T140V (titled as a 1979, but I believe it to be a 1978). Very low miles, (3600) odometer is in kilometers, (5822) so it was imported to Canada, I would think. I bought this bike in 2013. It had been wet sumped and stopped running. I had the shell bearings replaced and a head job, in 2014. It ran fine, but I put it in the man cave, where it has been ever since. (I have 5 other bikes). Now I need to get this one out of here. The bad stuff; the tach has had the bezel taken off, or tried to. The frame is cracked in two spots, the rear frame loop just behind the shocks on each side. I can’t tell if someone tried a café look or if it just broke. It still rides, but needs to be welded up. One of the fins on the head is broken. The battery is dead and I have not tried to start it in at least four years. The good; everything else! Beautiful tank with original paint, nothing missing from the bike. New mufflers, new halogen headlight bulb, electronic ignition, never wrecked, all original Meridan gear. Brakes work, gears and clutch are awesome. Good tires and good original seat with no tears. Clean and clear title in my name. I just never got to ride this one. It was too pretty, and so it sat in the man cave next to the poker table. I can work with shippers or I may be able to deliver within a couple hundred miles of central Kentucky for a reasonable price. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any questions or more pics.
