Up for NO RESERVE auction, this is a Barn fresh Fantastic driving project for sale, Motor Runs Fantastic and Clean. 1978 Ford Ranchero 500, I work at a Ford Dealership myself and drive it to work daily as my main vehicle. Quite nice paint, Starsky & Hutch style Colors, with what I believe is either a 302 or 351 (hard to tell without lift and facilities) and I assume a C4 Automatic Transmission. This is vehicle has some quirks and rat rod qualities, and will need some minor body and frame work in the long run, however it is a great running and daily driven, fully functioning vehicle. Registered, Insured and Inspected. Clean and Clear New York Title in my name. A Fantastic and drivable project. Previous Ownership wise...To the best of my knowledge, I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. The previous owner told me that he had found it in a barn in Eastern Long Island from the gentleman that bought it new. Here is some extensive info on the car for your consideration: -New Brakes, Master Cylinder lines and Battery -Windshield Wipers -New Battery -CB Radio and New CB Antenna -Moonroof (moonroof seal leaks a bit during heavy rain.) -Driver side seat has some tape patches vinyl tore a little, needs to be redone, a license plate seems to be covering some part of body work area? -Nice body and paint but there are, Some Bondo, brush and touch up marks are visible. -Transmission seems to have a drip hear and there from either the pan or main, nothing terrible. -Small Rust Bubbles on passenger side hood - Transmission shifts and rides great but sometimes it will wind down and back up when hot\running temperature. It does not slip or anything, just a strange vacuum related quirk possibly or filter change needed in the future? Cruises and goes up and down gears, cruises on highway fantastic though. -Headliner has minor tears but is intact -The frame arches on both sides need to be welded, for they have some rot holes they are still intact and held by the other side. -At some point one of the previous owners had cut the bumper down the middle to achieve some sort of custom design, I have a full bumper that might fit it which I will absolutely includeIf so desired. -Solid Bed, with Bed Mat -Front tired are newer, backs are a little older minor dry rot (I have the other hubcap) - Very Clean Body -Both Sets of hubcaps pictured are included. -Odometer reads 46,000 miles but it does not turn any more, (cable possibly snapped\stopped turning) This vehicle is sold entirely AS IS\WHERE IS\ALL SALES FINAL, Buyer\Winning Bidder is Entirely Responsible for pick up and transportation of the vehicle.
