Up for sale is a 2008 BMW K1200S. This bike overall is in good condition and runs strong. It has been priced very aggressively based on it’s condition and the time of year. Average NADA retail is $6,015. While I am not an expert, I will do my best describe this bike and give you some feedback. The owner seems to have had this bike in storage. I took it out for a test ride and it runs strong. Being a rider, I would want a few days to detail and clean the bike up. There are some signs of neglect that most riders would not tolerate. Little things like rust on a few bolts/nuts. Dirt in a few spots. (We did not detail the bike and the pictures are as traded). There is a warning light on which appears to go to the ABS. Brakes stop strong but I’d get the system checked. Last, I’d replace the tires. While there is tread and they hold pressure, they are aged and show some small cracks (dry rot?) and tires mean everything to a bike. I did get the bike up to speed on my run and again, no issues at speed, no vibration, no wobble. I can tell this was dropped on the left side and if there was any major issue, it was replaced. He was the second owner so details are not available. I see some scrapes on the grip, peg, etc. Nothing but superficial marks. Again, check the photos. All minor but I like full disclosure. Most of the parts are real carbon fiber, I like the stainless braided lines and digital gauges. Also looks like if you wear riding gear that’s heated, there is a plug in right above the tank.
