This is a "1965 Lincoln Continental" with suicide doors. This is the same iconic Lincoln Continental/year used in the movie "The Matrix". I purchased this vehicle well over a decade ago. I believe I am the fourth owner. In August 2005, I had the engine completely rebuilt from a very reputable service company that deals in older vehicles. The invoice shows all the work delivered including updating the Air conditioner. Go through the invoices for a description of work done and I am sure you will be impressed. What the invoice doesn’t show is the new shocks, fan clutch and exhaust that were also replaced. The vehicle left the service shop with an odometer reading of 24,197 (listed on the invoice) It's actually 124,197 because the speedometer turns over The current odometer reading is 24,619 (check picture provided) The car literally has 422 miles on a thoroughly rebuilt engine. The first oil change was made. The cars stock mechanical fuel pump was replaced with an electric fuel pump. This is much better for very fast starts and reliability. After the engine was rebuilt, I drove it around for about a month and then parked the car in my garage for literally 13 years. A few things I forgot to mention: The AC was upgraded from Freon to r44The stock carburetor was replaced with a NEW 4 barrel Holley. The stock carburetor was kept and will be included with the sale of the car. I am older now and don’t have the time or inclination to cross the finish line with the restoration. The car runs strong as you can imagine with the new engine. All the glass is in great shapeThe interior is original and still looks goodThe dash, interior chrome and the headliner are in fantastic shape. Considering the body is 53 years old, it’s in good shape. The tires have plenty of tread left on them.
