Rare 1972 Cougar XR7 convertible with 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet motor (Q code) with a 4 Speed manual transmission (1 of 32 built with this engine and transmission combination - see Marti report). The car has been garaged and is in good every day driver condition (not restored). The paint is not original and not in good condition, it was applied too thick and has "alligator scaling". The top is not original (White is original). The only other things that I can find that is not original is the intake, carburetor and air cleaner. I have bought a date code correct intake and original style air cleaner with correct new sticker. The car has factory A/C that does not work. The interior is in good shape, no rips or tears in the leather but the drivers side seat support is broken. The dash is in good shape and original with original radio and the power top works. The vehicle has 83975 miles and the speedometer works. Rust is minimal, mostly surface, and no floor or trunk panels need to be replaced due to rust through.
