Vehicle Detail

We purchased this vehicle from a private individual and have owned it for a little over 6 years. We are non smokers. The car was in pretty good shape at that time but we decided to embark on a plan to bring it up to a much higher standard over the next couple of years. Refurbishing and upgrading became a very enjoyable hobby for us. We have put on about 6000 miles in the 6 years we have owned it. The odometer reads 125,098 miles at this time which is very low for a vehicle of this age. The car has been very reliable and garners a lot of attention. It would be considered a "garage queen" except that it served as a 2nd or back-up car for us. Reason for selling is we now have our eye on a small low slung 2 seat roadster. We are not getting any younger (if you are older, you know what I mean)! and don't have room for another vehicle in the garage. Now is the time for this great Jaguar to be looking for a new home. As you know, with any car of any age they all at some time need attention on various items. This vehicle was no different except that since we purchased this particular car it has had ALL of the needed items addressed and is in need of absolutely nothing except to be driven. In the interest of full disclosure I would mention that the original paint is in excellent condition with just a couple of very small paint chips which have been addressed. There is also one very small ding just above the drivers side door handle (see the pictures) . There is absolutely no rust at all and there is no evidence of any body work ever having been done The original VIN stickers are still attached to the various body panels. An example of these can be seen in the pictures. There are no fluid leaks of any kind. The plastic portion of the bumpers have been touched up due to some fading of the color. All of the available Vanden Plas trim items have been installed on this car which includes a wood trimmed steering wheel, front fluted chrome upper grill, rear fluted chrome trunk trim, chrome covered outside mirrors, wooden rear seat back folding trays, rear window shades, chrome outside door pulls, and rear seat center console. Installed extras also include a custom installed removable head Alpine stereo radio with Infinity speakers along with a front and back set of Wilton long fiber wool carpeted floor mats which are very, very expensive if you can even find them these days. The original tool kit is included as can be seen in the pictures as well as 2 keys. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest I believe this car would be rated a strong 9. If you study the complete description that follows below I think you will agree that the winning bidder will be getting one of the most desirable vehicles of this type for the best price that is available anywhere. The few blemishes on the car have been mentioned above and what follows is a detailed list of the mechanical work that has been performed and what it cost. I have documentation of all the work that has been completed. Shortly after purchasing the car we took it to a nearby Jaguar dealer and obtained a written estimate (copy available) of repair for any and all items needed to basically put the car into like new condition. These are the items they recommended: Replace head gasket (the source of a common oil leak) Replace 2 power steering hoses Replace water pump Replace lower ball joints Replace tie rod ends Replace all radiator hoses Change coolant Perform 4 wheel alignment Replace alternator belt Replace A.C. belt Replace complete differential assembly The estimate total was $8700 ($4808 for parts and $3892 for labor) Over the next couple of years All of this work was completed. In addition, the following items were also replaced: 2 upper ball joints 2 rear Bilstein shock absorbers Replaced fuel filter 2 additional power steering hoses Repaired clock module 4 Michelin tires (currently have 4,000 miles on them and are like new) The total amount for these added parts was $1,238.32. The total for all of the above work would have come to $9,938.32. The majority of the work was ultimately done by us with the help of a private mechanic with the exception of the 4 wheel alignment, repair of the clock module, and the 4 michelin tires which was competed at various retail establishments. The grand total of out of pocket expenses (not including any labor) for us was $6,046.32. As mentioned above, receipts/documentation for all of the above figures are available. This is a substantial amount of money to spend on repair/refurbishment but it was all done correctly with meticulous care and done correctly. We consider it to have been well worth it since we have had use of the car for 6 years and it has been a pleasure to drive and own. I have numerous additional photos if needed. Feel free to contact me at cell number 702-280-4601 or cell number 574-306-6059 or through ebay email link if you need any additional information. We are on eastern standard time. Clear title in my name. To facilitate the sale I will gladly assist in making transportation arrangements if needed. I will also deliver the car within 150 mile radius of Warsaw, Indiana free of charge. The winning bidder will be getting a superb example of a classic, very stylish, luxurious and reliable vehicle with no surprises. Thanks for bidding and have a good day.
