Having owned this 1957 Thunderbird for many years I’ve realized that a total restoration or rat rod smoker is not feasible for me at this time. Instead of parting out am offering a complete Tbird for restoration.The engine is free and have run in the past with no smoke, right now can’t figure out why there’s no spark. Have a video clip available by email showing engine is free.Automation transmission has a leak probably from the front seal drying out. Former owner had trans rebuilt a few years before my purchase.Needs full interior and soft top. Have seat stored it’s a manual. Car was equipped according to build sheet (pictured) with no power options ,automatic , d code 312 v8 w no dress up kit. Don’t have skirts. Needs tires don’t have jack except for curved hold down piece. The basic shape is there but it is a rust prone New England car. Frame is good and pic of rear underside shows that someone replaced springs and notched openings to get at bolts, it’s not rust. All the rust has been cut out of floors ,inner engine compartment on both sides ,have stamped sheet metal in place in picture. Have 4 stamped pieces for floor. Needs inner & outer rockers. The door are solid and probably have been replaced, rust showing on outersurface is not soft. Left qtr has been trimmed below accent line ,needs stamped piece from dogleg back to bumper. Rear bumper has a twist in left tip. Trunk area needs work on left qtr only, spare tire well needs some work. Front bumper shape is fine, both need recchrome. Brakes have been refurbished with some lines replaced. Pictures show a pretty full representation of work needed but probably a visit inspection if in Massachusetts if possible.
