Vehicle Detail
NOTE: I am relisting this due to the previous buyer's inability to get their funds in order. Please be sure to have yours in place before you bid. Thank you. If you’ve been looking for the “right deal” on the “right” JKU Sahara, look no further. And read on. Please. This is a very detailed description, so it will take a minute or two to read, but if you're actually in the market for an exceptional Jeep, it will be well worth your time. I bought this Jeep early this year from a local Law Enforcement Officer after an exhaustive search – I specifically wanted this color (they only offered it for 2 model years and it's both rare and beautiful) and wanted the nicest unmolested example I could possibly find. I bought it specifically to take it to Cabo San Lucas, MX and leave it in my garage there (we have a little condo there) so I wouldn’t have to rent a car every time we went down there. There is no source for aftermarket parts there, so I knew I had to do everything here before I brought it down there. And I wanted it at nothing less than 100% mechanically because, well, the idea of getting stuck in the middle of nowhere in Mexico doesn’t appeal to me. At all. The Jeep was literally "rock stock" when I got it - I started by spending nearly $2,000 (not counting the cost of the rotors, pads, calipers, and shocks which I supplied) having everything mechanical serviced or replaced quite literally from end to end (see the list below) at a local shop. I then proceeded to spend a not so small fortune customizing it (the wheels and tires alone were $2,500 and the list goes on forever from there – see below – just the aforementioned mechanical work and the wheels and tires puts us at $4,500 already and we haven’t even gotten started yet). It looks, runs, rides, and drives spectacularly. I get compliments on it nearly every time I drive it. Anyhow, and to make a long story short, I have had an opportunity presented to me that I’d like to take advantage of and the only way I can move on it is if I sell several of my “toys” – and quickly at that (in addition to this Jeep I’ll be listing a very custom Harley Ultra in the next couple of days - I've already sold my radical custom Harley Road Glide and one of my Indians). I’m going to lose literally thousands and thousands of dollars and somebody is going to get an awesome Jeep at a deep discount, but hopefully it will be the right decision for me in the long run. Enough about me. Let’s get to the jeep. Here’s the list. I may have forgotten a thing or three, but this should be pretty accurate. This process began in April of this year, so all of this stuff has been done in just the last few months. For those of you who understand the math involved in all of this, you would have to buy a comparable immaculate Jeep Sahara Unlimited for less than $9k in order to duplicate this one and still be in it only $15,500 when you were done: Custom Stuff · Five (5) New American Racing ATX Teflon Coated Wheels · Five (5) New Goodyear Wrangler MT/R Kevlar Tires LT255/75R17 · New PowerStop K2798 Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Kit (Drilled & Slotted Rotors & Pads, Front & Rear) · New Duralast Front Brake Calipers · Four (4) New OEM Rubicon Red Shocks · 2017 JKU Sidesteps · 2017 JKU Front Bumper, Splash Guard, and Top Trim Plate · 2017 JKU Rear Bumper · New 2” Receiver Hitch with 3/4 “ D-Ring Shackle & Red Isolator · New OEM Headlights · New OEM Fog Lights · New MBRP 130716 LineX Coated Bull/Light Bar · New “Gladiator” Matte Black Grill · New 7” 51W Round LED Off Road Lights · New OEM Mopar JKU Diamond Plate Door Sill Guards (Front & Rear) · New Bestop 51505-01 JKU Cargo Liner · New Bartact JK Rear Side Sound Bar Paracord Grab Handles · Five (5) New Black Anodized Aluminum Door Handle/Tailgate Trim Inserts · Misch Driver & Passenger Door Armrests · New Daystar KJ71020 Dash Panel/Storage · New OEM Mopar Lower Center Dash Panel w/Mesh Storage · Four (4) New Drake Billet Aluminum A/C Vent Bezels · New Rugged Ridge Black/Gray Neoprene Center Armrest · New Black A Pillar Mounted Grab Handles · New Billet Jeep Logo Fuel Filler Cover · New Gloss Black Hood Hinge Covers · New Mopar 68004562ADC Hardtop Freedom Panel Clamps · New OEM “Jeep Performance” Nameplate · New StreetGraphx JK Cowl Band – Matte Black · New Mopar Freedom Panel “Wrench” · Newly Installed OEM Mopar/Jeep AM/FM/6 Disc CD Changer with Hands Free · Premium 7 Speaker Sound System w/ Infinity Subwoofer · Solargard Custom Tinted Windows All Around· Mopar/Jeep Freedom Top Storage Bag w/Jeep Logo (the good one) Mechanical Stuff · New Master Window Switch · New OEM Shift Cable · New NGK Spark Plugs · New Ignition Wires · New Purge Valve Solenoid · New Evaporative Detector/Charcoal Cannister · R&R Transmission Fluid & Flush · R&R Transmission Filter · R&R Rear Differential Oil · Flush Coolant System/Replace Coolant · Flush Brake System/Replace Brake Fluid · New Valve Cover Gaskets · New Upper Oil Pan Gasket · New Lower Oil Pan Gasket · Fresh Oil & Filter· A/C Serviced & Charged · Front End Alignment NOTE: I also have a brand new, still in the box TeraFlex leveling kit (raises it 1” in the back and 2” in the front) that I bought before I got the wheels and tires installed on the Jeep. I was so happy with the way it looked I decided not to have the leveling kit installed. I will give it to whomever buys the Jeep so they can have it put on if they’d like it to sit a bit higher. The body and paint is all original and is in phenomenal shape, and there’s not a single door ding anywhere to be found. The interior is in fantastic condition – it obviously never had kids in it. The seats are in exceptional condition, the dash, door panels, and everything else looks fantastic. Look at the pics – they speak for themselves. Mechanically it is at 100% from bumper to bumper. It runs perfect and rides & drives beautifully. Everything works exactly the way it did the day it left the factory. Even the underside of the jeep is in unusually nice condition – it’s obvious it’s never been off road. You will have a tough time finding a nicer Unlimited. At any price. Cons: Only one – we have these stupid bugs called “Love Bugs” here in Florida – a couple of times a year they’re out in full force. They’re little and light and harmless, but they plaster the front end of your car with bug carcasses for a couple of weeks twice a year. If you don’t wash them off in a timely manner, their proteins will etch your clear – well, apparently that happened at some point before I got it so the front surfaces of both front fenders have some of this “etching” (it was on the grille too but I replaced that). I tried to polish it out, but it’s still there. Not a big deal and an easy fix, but it’s there so I feel the need to disclose it. I was planning on putting matte black vinyl on the fronts of the fenders to match the grille, but I don’t want anyone to think I was trying to hide something. I just want you to know what to expect. I don’t like surprises, and I assume you don’t either. It has a clean Carfax, and needs nothing. If you look at the vehicle history, you’ll see that 2/3 of the miles were put on in a 3 year period by a previous owner who used it as a commuter vehicle, so they’re all highway miles. It drives like a 25k mile Jeep. I would advise you to come and see it if you live within driving distance. The first person to put eyes on this Jeep in person will buy it. It's far more beautiful and impressive than these pictures suggest. My name is Bill, I can be reached at 352.209.4100 and you are welcome to call me with any questions you may have or if you'd like to discuss buying it – all I ask is that you don’t call me at crazy hours. I’m in Florida so it’s EST. Check my feedback as a seller – I’ve been on eBay for 18 years and I’m one of the good guys. I'm a lifelong car and motorcycle nut - I’ve sold many of my toys here on eBay and have never had anyone be anything other than ecstatic when whatever they purchased from me shows up at their door. You will be too. It’s a beautiful Jeep. I now have it listed for what was my opening bid in the previous auction. In light of my situation I don't have time to try and get what its actually worth. As the saying goes, my loss is your gain. I now have it advertised locally as well so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Good luck, happy bidding, and God Bless.
