Selling this low mile 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC coupe. This beautiful example was just removed from long time storage, where it sat for approximately 10 years inside. The previous owner stored The vehicle after the fuel pump stopped working. What was supposed to be a short term storage situation while the fuel pump was ordered, ended up being a long term after that owner passed away. It remained stored, until the Building was recently sold. The engine spins freely, lights appear to work properly as does the radio. The power windows and power moonroof are not working at this time. It may be something as simple as A blown fuse. I have not investigated that. All glass is very nice, with no breakage anywhere. The interior is in great condition, The red leather seats are soft, and very comfortable to sit in. The top of the rear seat back has some fading and cracking, but is not visible unless looking down through the back window. Carpets are absolutely beautiful, as are the door panels and dash area. The body appears to be very rust free and remarkably Street. The paint has started to do you laminate across most of the car. I have a reputable body shop look at the paint, and said that it appeared to be the original paint that was from the era when a faulty sealer was used by the manufacture. His recommendation was to sand the remaining original paint off, andThere are a couple areas of surface rust on the right-hand side of the moon roof, but, should be a very easy there are a couple areas of surface rust on the right-hand side of the moon roof, but, should be very easy repair repaint the vehicle. The bottom side of the vehicle is remarkably sound and the majority of it is still black in color. Wheels are in excellent condition, as are the bumpers and other chrome trim on the outside of the vehicle. Tires appear to be in excellent condition, but, are probably dated. All of the original manuals are present. This vehicle is being sold on a seven day no reserve auction. I have clean title in hand. There will be a $500 PayPal deposit due at auctions end, and, The remaining balance shall be due within five business days by cash in person, or, bank wire. I will assist the buyer in anyway possible, in so far as helping to arrange shipping etc.Because of the vehicles age, it is being sold as is-no warranty. Although I believe this vehicle will run with a new fuel pump installed, I did not verify that it runs. I was told that the vehicle ran great prior to fuel pump failure. The pump was removed, and is not present at this time. Oil is clean, as is the coolant and transmission fluid.
