1970 Plymouth Duster 340 Drag Car This car is originally a 1970 Plymouth Duster in Plum Crazy Purple with a Black Longitude Sports Stripe and a Transverse Stripe (Black). In 2005 the car was converted to a mild drag car in which it ran consistently in the low to mid 11 second range (best time sheet showed 11.145 seconds in 1/4 mile). This car will come with time slips, and names and last known phone numbers of a few of the previous owners. This car was built in the Windsor, Ontario plant, and currently holds the original 340 with casting # 2780930. The motor has rebuilt .060" over with forged Kelly Crank, Oliver Rods, TRW Power Forged domed aluminum pistons, purple 590/312 cam, 12:1 compression, "j" 360 heads, ported with 2.08 intake valves, and a 750 Holley Carb. There is an Edelbrock Torker II intake, MSD 6A ignition, and Hedman 1-3/4" headers, 7 quart oil pan, lightweight starter, manually driven taxh & shift light. The transmission is a Fireball Performance 904 Auto, 4500-5000 stall converter, scatter shield, drive shaft loop, B&M Shifter with reverse shift pattern. Car has line lock and drum brakes. This includes an electric fan, fuel pump, and water pump. The rearend is a 8 3/4 with a spool and has 4.56 gears alon with Bear's axles. The car also has Super Stock Springs, frame connectors, 6 cylinder torsion bars, 90/10 front drag shocks. The Duster has Centreline Wheels, Optima Red Top Battery mounted in the rear, along with a trunk mounted fuel tank, and an all steel body (some signs of rust, and filler) with Factory Glass. The interior has a full roll cage, and comes with two pro-street seats (which are not yet mounted in the vehicle). I originally purchased the car to convert it in to a street legal pro-street vehicle, however I have numerous other projects, and this one is over my head. My loss is your gain.
