This is a very nice condition Lincoln Town Car that was used as the Hero car in American Gangster by Denzel Washington's character Frank Lucas. It is a rust free California car with a very nice black paint job and a beautiful original leather interior showing very little wear. Dash does have cracks from the CA sun but is covered with a dash pad. Being the Hero car, it did not see any stunt use and was not the car that was rigged and riddled with bullet holes. It has a tow bar on the front and would be towed by a film truck while cameras were rolling. This would allow the actors to concentrate on acting and not driving. The tow bar is currently still installed on the car. After its use in American Gangster it was being prepped for use in Green Hornet. It had the large wheels with big tires added and a high-rise intake with scooped air cleaner to give it a new look that matched the Green Hornet movie style. The car ended up never being used in the Green Hornet. The sale does include the front bumper, fender skirts and hub caps if someone wanted to put it back to the American Gangster look. We purchased this car directly from Universal Studios transportation coordinator and is documented. It runs and drives fantastic and is better than "movie car" quality. A/C is complete, kicks on, high pressure line hot, low cool, air blows very cool but not ice cold. Probably needs topping off to make colder. The front bumper is included with the sale, image below. Was questioned about the VIN, it starts in a 3 which is a 1973 model. This car was built late 72 before the 73 model was released and is titled as a 1972. Marti report below. I have looked this car over closer and believe the miles are an original 22k. There is little to no wear on the woodgrain on the rimblow wheel, the brake and gas pedals have almost no wear. The weather stripping is like new, the jambs are original paint. The carpet and leather are aged but show no wear. I honestly talked to my wife about bidding on it myself and using it as a daily driver! She talked me out of it.... I also found the original owner of the car, an interesting man.
