Reserve the right to end the auction early as I have the car advertised locally.__________________________________________________ Decided to let go of our 2003 Mercedes SL500. We bought this car November of 2016 while in Dallas at a Mecum car auction. We had never owned a Mercedes so we found one we liked, bid on it, and won! We canceled our return flight home, put the top down, and cruised home. We originally drove the car multiple times a week but other interests have consumed our time and we just don’t take it out and enjoy it anymore. I’ll start off by saying this is our first Mercedes and it has been a really great car. I can’t say I know a lot about them and to be honest probably couldn’t tell you what every single button does. I will say it’s a great roadster with plenty of power. We really enjoy riding through the mountains with the top down. Car runs and drives great. Car serviced just 200 miles ago. They serviced the AC along with a oil change and gave the car a once over. Air blows nice and cold and car is ready to go. Hard top goes up and down as it should with no issues. I don’t know of any issues with the car and wouldn’t hesitate to take off in it across the country. Exterior is in very nice shape. Only imperfections in the paint are a few minute blemishes the size of a pen tip that you have to be two feet away to see. Paint is in amazing shape and really shines. I really like the color as well. It has AMG staggered wheels. Some of the rims do have some curb rash but nothing that couldn’t be removed. I called a local shop and they said they would do it but never got around to dropping it off. Other than that, exterior shows excellent. Under hood is clean and tidy. No leaks and no modifications I am aware of. Trunk is very clean as well. No staining. Spare tire and tools are in place. Interior is in very nice shape. Dash, console, and door panels are all in excellent shape. Carpet shows very light signs of use and some slight wear on the drivers seat bolster. No tears or holes. Overall, amazing condition for its age. The original owners manual and information are in the car. Some of the options are: Power hard top, 5.0 302 hp engine, auto transmission with a manual shift option, navigation, heated and cooled leather seats, dual zone climate control, HID headlights, and AMG wheels. Title is clear and in hand. Asking $15,500 obo. Cash or cashiers check accepted form of payment. We just don’t drive it any more and I’d like to make some space in the garage.
