Vehicle Detail
This is a true 242 base model 1969 GTO dressed up with Judge stripes, spoiler and glovebox emblem. Midnight Green w/ Mustard Gold Interior. I have a clean Ohio Title in my name in hand. Car has current Ohio registration. The Good (in no particular order): -Car has been restored with many new parts including; Full Floor with Rockers/braces, Full 1 piece trunk, new trunk drop-offs, 2 new full rear quarters, both fenders, new hood, both front wheelhouses, new core support. Body has no rust, no bondo, solid, straight car. -New rubber window felts, door rubber-New Drip rail chrome-Body off frame, new body bushings. Frame was media blasted, treated with phosphoric acid, Por-15.-Interior has new carpet with sound deadener/heat shield underneath Front buckets re-upholstered. --Pontiac 400 Engine is a 1974' 481988 Block with the original #62 heads, 9799068 intake and was gone through about 250 miles ago (4 years ago) , cylinders honed, new rings, bearings, melling oil pump.Recently installed a new Summit 2802 Camshaft to improve drivability. Installed Viton rear main seal ,has no oil leaks.Comp cams 1.5:1 roller rockers. -Rear end is a valuable and rare Pontiac 'N" rear 9793235, professionally rebuilt by JD Race with Eaton 3.55:1 posi. New axle bearings, seals, etc. and new rear drum brakes.-Transmission is original TH400 PX code, professionally rebuilt by Northern Ohio Auto Transmissions with B/M Shift Improver Kit installed. -New Rear Upper/Lower Tubular Control Arms w/Urethane bushings-New Front Tubular upper control arms with ball joints and Urethane bushings-New Summit 2 1/2" exhaust system. -New 15" Wheel Vintiques Pontiac Rally II's all around with Cooper Cobra Radials. 255/60/15 Rear, 235/60/15 Frt-Installed new vacuum pot and spring for drivers side hidden headlamp system. -New fuel tank and sender unit ( see bad also)-New Fuel line/ Fuel pump-Dash Tach working-Speedometer Working-Turn Signals work The Bad: -Paint job is 4 years old, probably rates a 5 or 6, Could be wet sanded again and buffed to improve. This is not a show car but looks very nice for cruise-ins and daily driving. With new paint on this rust free car this would be stunning.-Right now the tranny fill tube has been leaking a small amount I think it needs a new o-ring I will be installing this week. -The drivers side hideaway headlight cover droops/opens while driving, needs adjusted to stay closed. Hideaways work to open headlamps, but need help closing so I think there is a vacuum leak somewhere. -Fuel sender unit is not working, need to check for connection/ground on topside of tank, unit is new so should be easy fix. -Front running lamps/turn signal lamps not installed, I have them and included with car but they need restored and painted.-Delco AM Radio works but I think needs a new 8 ohm speaker as I get no sound since I installed it.. Radio was checked out by a radio shop and confirmed working. Speaker is the mono speaker mounted beneath dash vent.-Odometer does not work-Drivers interior door panel needs carpet strip at bottom-If car sits for a week the fuel filter/line seems to evaporate, the see thru fuel filter gets dry and I need to spray a little gas into carb to get it started faster. there may be a vapor lock or vacuum situation, the sender unit has 2 lines but I am only using 1 and plugged the return line, so maybe need to add the fuel return line. -Front drivers side tire sometimes has a slight tire rub when turning left, especially if hitting a bump while turning. I wanted to replace the 235/60/15's with 215/65/15's but never got to it. the 215/65/15 is .800" narrower and .100" smaller diameter I have tried to describe this car as good as I can. It's a 49 year old muscle car that I enjoy driving to local cruise nights but now it needs someone else to take it to the next level or use it as daily summer driver. I have too many (2) other car projects and it is time for me to let this one go. I just drove it around the block today for maybe the second time all month, I don't have the time to enjoy it or put the finishing touches on it to take it to the next level. I will try and work on putting up a YouTube Video of the engine running and tailpipe sound, the Summit 2802 Cam gives a nice muscle car sound with the 2.5" pipes. If you want to come look at it or send someone to look at it email me to set up a time. Car is located in Lake Co. Ohio, about 20 mi east of Cleveland. Any questions whatsoever e-mail me and I will answer asap There is a non-refundable $500 deposit by PayPal and the balance due by Bank Wire Transfer to my bank (JP Morgan Chase). All funds must be delivered to my bank before car leaves my possession. Bank wire transfers are cheap and easy, they cost about $35 and take about 1 day. Shipping is at your cost, I am around every day, I will help with loading the car. Obviously the car runs, drives and brakes for quoting shipping purposes. Let me know how you want the title sent to you, by certified mail, or hand it to the shipper. I put a couple videos on YouTube so you can hear the sound of the SUM-2802 Cam and see the idle. https://youtu.be/frF9ON9_FbE https://youtu.be/APyOmoMyILg This is a 49 year old vehicle being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
