original Suzuki re5 rotary engine classic. I have had this bike for approx. 3 years and it is virtually untouched by me. I bought a new AMG battery a week ago and washed the dust off the bike, fresh gas and it started straight up. im sure it will need a cab clean/tune up as it misses a little while warming up but starts up great and runs smooth once your cruising. clutch/gears are fine and the only other issue I can is that the right rear flasher does not work and the lense cap screws are snapped so the lense is scotch taped on, all other electrics seem to work fine. details, comes with original warranty book, owners manual, clear title in the previous owners name, original tool kit under the seat and 2 original keys. it has the original tires on I think (yokohama) both weather checked but the front tread looks almost new. I will include the spark plug conversion kit that allows you to run the bike on much cheaper Suzuki plugs, new plug, grease to install it and a new genuine oil filter. (I never installed the conversion kit as it has always started fine with the installed original plug), no unusual smoke or noises when running. some of the chrome has some surface rust spots (see pics) but only surface rust and all pipes and metal are solid and could be re chromed, the tank/panels are good (inside is very clean) with only one small dime sized dent on top right of the tank and a paint chip on headlamp shroud, the seat is near perfect. it really needs time spent on removing the lacquer on the engine casing and rims to start a major refurbishment. with minor maintenance works and a good polishing you will have a great original (very early) re5 daily rider. a $200 deposit is acceptable through pay pal but the remaining payment will be through cashiers check, personal check or cash but bike will not move home until payment is complete. I will help load the bike with shipper but all arrangements/shipping payments are down to purchaser. On Aug-18-18 at 06:05:16 PDT, seller added the following information: many people are asking about the bike running, to make it clear. it smokes a little when starting up but no smoke after a minutes running. it splutters when warming up, as I said originally.... the carb/bike will need servicing as I have not touched it since I have owned it. when running, there are no mechanical knocks,bangs or rattles. I am sure, after a good service and fresh tires, I would ride it any distance without any worries.On Aug-18-18 at 08:14:08 PDT, seller added the following information: I have just been informed that all rotary engines smoke a little for a few seconds on initial start up. I learn something new every day :-)
