Up for auction at NO RESERVE is a 2003 Range Rover HSE with 85k miles. This Range Rover will run hot. I purchased it in this condition with plans to repair & resell, or dismantle for parts. It has never been overheated, but will run hot. It goes above the normal range, then I will shut it down, or the needle will come back to normal on its own. It almost acts as though there is air in the system. It has an intermittent starting issue, which makes it difficult to diagnose the overheating issue. Sometimes it will not crank (the steering column moves, the key turns in the ignition, but will not crank). Most of the time it turns on without issue. It will sit and idle all day without overheating. With the no start issue I'm hesitant to drive it and try to figure out what is wrong with it. The engine sounds good when it's on, the transmission shift well, there are no other major issues.Cold A/C, everything seems to work as it should. It does not leak or burn any fluids. No smoke or steam The LCD display for the odometer/computer is pixelated, and difficult to read.The head unit is aftermarket and doesn't work (just shows a white screen).The rear seat behind the driver is folded down and I can't get it back up.There is a dent on the roof where a branch fell on it.
