Vehicle Detail

This is a rather long description, but if you are interested in this vehicle, you should read it all, so you understand what you are buying. This will be a parts car or a frame off restoration. I don’t wish to cheat anyone the way I was cheated. I bought this Elky in 2008 right here on EBay from Bolt Bros. Hot Rods & Customs in N.C. It was represented as being ready to drive with the exception of needing tires & bolt up of the steering box. They told me the owner had brought it in for work & had given them title as collateral & then couldn’t pay his bill & abandoned the vehicle to them. It had fresh paint, very obvious professional mechanical work & great sounding engine. I brought it home on a trailer. I was very busy & did not have time to do anything with it for about 2 mos. I jacked it up to bolt up the steering box & then discovered I’d been duped. The frame was rotten & had been bondo-ed & painted. It is my belief that the previous owner had spent a ton of money on restoring & brought it to these guys for paint & body work. They put work into it & then discovered the chassis problem & informed the owner at which time he did abandon the vehicle. I kept believing I would still do something with it, but now am 71 yrs. old & have lost interest. The 350 c.i. engine has not been cranked in about 3 yrs. The fuel lines under the vehicle rotted. I believe the engine is stout. I believe the Power glide trans is good as well as the rear end. When I bought it, it was obvious the engine work was recent, it had brand new seats & carpet, custom gauges, new brake work on all 4 wheels, disc brakes up front, braided fuel lines under the hood, braided brake lines, double hump heads, Edelbrock carb., new suspension parts, Flowmaster headers & mufflers. I don’t have any idea what’s in the engine, but I would guess from the sound of it, it’s pushing 500 hp. Being sold as is-where is. I have title & the work order that was negotiated between Bolt Bros. & the owner. Actual mileage is unknown. The title I have is a S.C. title signed by the previous owner. Georgia does not title cars this old. The car has never been tagged since I got it. I have a bill of sale from Bolt Bros. I keep getting similar questions & I click the box to have questions & answers display on the listing, but they are not showing up, so the following answers most of those questions: I don't really know the condition of the floor pan. It had brand new carpet when I bought it & I have never pulled it out. There is undercoating on the bottom side. I don't have a picture of the frame. I am 71 yrs. old & not able to crawl under the thing & get pics. The side rails are rotten! You can't jack it up by the side rails without the jack punching a hole in the frame. The front & rear parts of the frame that are a little higher off the ground are still solid with solid connections to the bumpers. You can jack it up by the bumpers. You can see jack stands under the front bumper. I have those as well as blocking under the rear axle housing to lift it slightly off the ground for preservation of the tires & other underbody parts.
